Facebook Ads: Did I just luck out or am I doing Something right?

Either I really know how to target Facebook or I just got lucky. These numbers are good, right? From what I've read, they CTR for Facebook Ads are much lower than what I'm seeing. This campaign ran since Sept. 12th to current time with a 3 day pause. Lifetime budget right now is $69 with $59 of that spent. I can tell you now, engagement has skyrocketed.

This is only my second time using Facebook Ads but holy crap, do they work. Traffic to my site yesterday broke a record with 3 times as much traffic as I normally get.

    If you have no idea then try to find out. Maybe you can get some really cool way to get high CTR. But in my opinion you are just lucky especially if you have no idea.

    What matters is now the likes, but what they do on your money site. So, the only way to tell if those results are good is to see whether those $50 spent have generated any kind of returns. Otherwise it's pure loss.

      I respectfully disagree. Sure, I've made more money with the audience I've generated. Not as much as I'd hoped, but I'm more concerned about building an audience from engaging content and so far that's been a great success.

      Right now, gaining exposure of trusted followers that I can further target down the road is my top priority. Not everything needs to be about money right off the bat.

        those numbers look just like what i've experienced with my campaign. so i wouldn't say you've "lucked out". this is just what seems typical for facebook ads.

        the only problem is; you can get all these likes, but facebook won't even show your posts to the vast majority of them unless you "boost" the post and pay even more money. so its easy to get excited at first, but you may find yourself dumping a lot of money into it.

        with that said, I promote a service, rather than a viral site. so I naturally will have a harder time with engagement. my bounce rate from facebook is around 65%. not so great. but it still ends up being cheaper than google ads.

          I can understand that. and if that's true, then it's really unfortunate.

          However, I'm getting so much engagement on my page that it's starting to be a problem keeping up with likes, shares and especially comments.

          That must be a bit tough as my Bounce rate from 98 Facebookers is currently sitting at 5.3% with 5-1/2 minute average time on site today.

    Haha, these guys are assuming that you're trying to flip that traffic into profits instantly.

    But it sounds like you're just trying to build your brand out, right?

    Those CTRs are looking strong. Keep running ads and switch up your creatives often because, if you're going to target to the same demographic over and over, then banner blindness sets in really fast.

    Whatever you're doing, it's lookin good!

      Yep. Just building my brand now. Really, my only priority right now. Not at all concerned about how much I make in return currently.

      You make a good point about banner blindness. Something I had failed to consider. Thanks for that! Will keep that in mind!

      Really, not to brag, but I found using Facebook Ads and making them work, very easy. Maybe it's my niche Though...

      I targeted interests like crazy. And by using the info from my analytics software(Clicky) from the past 90 days, I was able to target specific countries most interested in what I have to offer.

    Those are pretty good numbers, especially considering you're new to the game. Play around a bit with targeting, the ads and the images you're using and you might be able to get the cost per like down to 1 to 2 cents per like.

      While, I'm new to Facebook ads, I'm pretty seasoned when it comes to marketing in the area of targeting. You may do well just like I did, but be sure to research your audience first for awhile to see what their interests are so that you can further target those interests. Facebook Ads made it very easy to target just about anything.
