A little background: I have done work in Internet Marketing on and off for five years. At the end of last year, I decided to focus on web design. In July a satisfied client of mine referred me to her neighbor Chad Meek, who was looking to make a feature film based on the life of his uncle, a guy by the name of George Van Tassel. At first I just figured he wanted a quick website, but Chad wanted everything, and I got drawn into to one of the most interesting projects I have ever been associated with. Chad’s uncle was one of the first UFO contactees during a period starting with Roswell that lasted into the early 60s, where there were a number of people who claimed to be in direct contact with beings from another planet. This guy was more than just UFO contactee though. He had a nice career in aeronautics, was a personal friend of Howard Hughes, appeared on hundreds of TV and radios shows telling people about his experiences, hosted a UFO convention in the desert for 20 years, which drew thousands of people, and constructed the “Integratron”, a very unique building he was unable to complete before his death, but which still stands in the Mojave Desert. The Integratron was meant to be for doubling the lifespan of people who used it, and was based on information George received from his other-worldy visitors. Based on his uncle’s fascinating life story Chad wrote a script. I’ve read it, and it is great. Another of Chad’s neighbors is veteran character actor Kevin Gage, who is maybe best known for working alongside DeNiro and Pacino as Waingrove in Heat. He read the script and absolutely flipped for it. Kevin also bears a strong resemblance to Van Tassel, and he was more than happy to come on board the project to play the lead and produce. A lot of what happened to Van Tassel had to do with very touchy subjects, including espionage, government cover-ups and of course extraterrestrials. We want to retain control of this story, and not have it be at the mercy of the Hollywood establishment. While many reading this may not agree, we Giant Rockers feel that honest Disclosure is too important a subject to put in the hands of those studio owners. That is why we are self funding, and that is why I was tasked with putting together a web presence that will generate at least a six figure stake. Now I know that most of you reading this probably don’t believe in UFOs and conspiracy theories, but that doesn’t matter, because I know every one of you believes in making money. This is a solid, legit project with some great names on board, based on a real cool story.
