Today it's very easy to publicize your own writing through blogs. In fact, having a blog is very common these days. People blog about their hobbies, their job or anything else that interests them. Some people even blog with the sole purpose of making money. Whatever, your reason is you might be wondering how to consistently write good blog posts. Well, you don't have to worry there's a very simple and easy to follow method to writing excellent blog posts on a consistent basis.

Why Do You Blog?

The first thing you need to think about is. Why do you blog? Are you blogging simply to share your hobby with others or do you intend to make money with your blog? Even if you do intend to make money off of your blog, I highly recommend that you write about something that you are at least remotely interested in. It is possible to write blog posts about topics you are not particularly interested in, but at first I wouldn't recommend it.

Purpose Of Your Blog Entry

One of the reasons that interest is important is that it makes it much easier to actually write blog posts. If you intend to monetize your blog you are going to need traffic. To get traffic you need a lot of quality content. Blog posts. Therefore, if you don't have any interest in your topic it will be much more difficult for you to keep up your writing.

Choosing The Topic Of Your Blog Post

Off course the overall topic of your blog posts will be determined by the overall topic of the blog itself, but it can be really hard to find specific topics for your blog posts day in and day out. That's why I suggest looking for keywords related to your topic. I use the Google Adwords keyword tool which is free to use for anybody. I look for keywords that get a decent amount of traffic without being overly competitive. The best case scenario is to find what is called long tail keywords with a solid amount of traffic.

Structuring Your Writing

We are getting close to actually writing the blog post now, but there is one more step, I recommend that you take. Write down your Keyword in your favorite text editor. Then think about some questions you have that are related to your keyword. 4-6 questions should be enough. This structure will serve as the skeleton of your blog post. When you have that in place writing the blog post becomes very easy.

Filling In The Blanks

Now you're ready to write your blog post. What you need to do is answer each question with 4-6 sentences. You may have to do some research to find the answers for all the questions, but that's ok. When you're done you should have a blog post with somewhere between 300 and 500 words. Add an introduction lining up the main points and conclude the post with a few sentences, and you're almost good to go. You have the meat of your blog post, and you just need to prepare it for publishing.

Spell Checking And Editing

We're about to publish our blog post, but there are still a few things to do. First of all, you never ever publish anything without running it through a spell checker. If you know anyone who is willing to read the post before you publish it that's great too, but with the amount of posts you'll be writing that might not be practical.
