If you have images in your web page it may have a good online value and will eventually show up on the search engine's top results. This may be a theoretical value but may still be true and you just need to do it and conclude for yourself.

There are many images on the top search results though, and you may just conclude that the theoretical value is really true and your page with images will land on the top pages. There are many ways to get your product images to show up on the top search results and any web marketer can do it with ease.

You can have the images through feeds from Google tools or you can have product images by paying through Google Adwords using ad extension.

Marketers offering products online can have more use of these images, but if you don't have a product to offer you can still make use of images in your web page to land you to the top pages of the results page.

Webmasters who have a website but do not have an e-commerce or no traditional products can still use images in their sites. The theoretical value of having an image in your web page is so high and you can be sure that this strategy will land you high on the top pages of the search engine's search results.

There is no definite formula though, on how to get your images to the top search results. But there are some basic elements to do if you really want to be on the top pages and some of these are the following:
  • You need to use keywords in the image file name. Your image needs to have its individual URL and keywords have to be included in these codes.
  • You need also to have an individual URL for the page and with keywords for the search engines use. You can have internal links, external and inbound links, but you need to link directly to your image URL.
  • You need to link to the page that contains the image, since you know the value of links to the search engines and your goal is page 1 rankings. This page must also have text codes using keywords for SEO objectives.
  • Alternative text tags are important in your image captions. Keywords have to be utilized in the captions and description tags, for SEO objectives also.
  • The image to be used must be worthwhile linking to. Other users will feel it is worthwhile to link to if it is relevant.
There may other elements that you can add to those mentioned. Surely these elements will also have complimentary value to your search ranking objectives.
