- Join a forum in your niche. The idea is to be a member of a forum in a niche that is the same as the one your website serves or is closely related. There is no point joining a forum about baby food if your website is for gaining rock hard abs.
- Establish yourself within the forum. Connect with other forum members and actively participate in discussions. Answer questions and offer sound advice. Do not attempt to promote your website right away. Wait until you have established trust among the other members.
- Try to find like-minded people with whom you can do marketing campaigns with. This means you need to find 3 or 4 forum members who are marketing products that are alike or similar and form a joint venture. When you cross-promote products it becomes advantageous for all involved.
- Once you have established yourself within the forum, you can now start promoting your products by leaving short articles in posts that have backlinks in the resource box. Quality posts will gain you a regular audience and will help generate links as people become curious and want to get to know you better by visiting your site.
