List Building Tips - Why Does a Squeeze Page Build You a List Much Faster?

Normally when I send visitors directly to a sales page, the typical conversion rate is 2%. For every 1000 visitors, that equates to 20 sales. On the other hand, if I send my visitors to a squeeze page, I typically get a 40% conversion rate. That means 400 people out of 1000 visitors opt-in to my list. And I typically can get 10% of those 400 people to buy, so that is 40 sales, more than double than if I sent to a direct sales page. And I have 400 new subscribers to market to forever.

Why does this system work? It works because my belief is if someone does not want to hand you their email address, what are the odds of them buying from you. It's probably very low. That's why I send my visitors to a squeeze page and if they provide their details, they are far more likely to buy and I have a new lead.

You see, many people have yet to make their first purchase online, so they are very wary about who they buy with. If you can build a list and send them quality information, they are much more likely to trust you and buy from you eventually.

Now, with those 400 new subscribers to market to, you will make tons more sales in the long run, and that will again increase your bottom line. If you send your visitors to a sales page, yes you can build a list of 20 buyers in the above example, but you will lose out on far more prospects and buyers than if you send to a squeeze page to build a list.
