Article marketing works. I know that because articles drive around 60% of my traffic. The last few years have been extremely profitable for me and I have been able to wave my day job goodbye largely thanks to article marketing and the results it brings. And it all started with the first article. I had to start somewhere after all.
When I first submitted my first article, it was sort of an experiment. I didn't know what to think of it. Would it work? Would it get traffic? Would it generate subscribers. Turns out that it did and the rest is history. Now I write and submit more articles than ever because of how powerful the concept of article marketing has proven to be in my business.
Many marketers say don't do articles, it's a waste of time etc. I'm living proof that articles do work and it does generate a strong return on investment. Sure, use other traffic generation strategies, but in my opinion, article marketing has to one of the traffic generation strategies you use. Not using it will simply result in lost traffic and sales.
So how do you create your own article marketing battle plan?
1. Make a target of how many articles you want to write. I set out with a target of 1000 articles. At the time of writing this article, I'm up to over 6000 articles, so I have more than surpassed my target. Setting goals is one of the most important things for Internet success.
2. Create a list of main topics in your business. Then set about writing articles based on those topics. For me, I have a master list of topics in different niches and I simply refer to the list anytime I want to write new articles.
3. Submit your articles to only the best article directories in the business. These will generate 95% of the traffic you get, so it's really not worth the time submitting to the lesser-known ones. Just spend more time writing more articles to submit to the higher-trafficked directories.
