Send your visitors to a squeeze page to build a list, and then send them to the affiliate link. This is the way I do it and this the way many experts do it. You'll want to build a list so you can repeatedly follow-up on the affiliate offer, and this will increase your sales manifold.

Tip#3: Mix Your Promotions

There are many ways to mix up your affiliate promotions. Don't always promote products of the same kind. Mix them up: reports, videos, audio, coaching etc. Also, mix up your promotional style. You can 'hard sell' every now and then, but most of the time you'll want to pre-sell your affiliate products by demonstrating the results you had with it or with a review on it.

Tip #4: Leverage Google

Google can be your major ally when it comes to bank rolling affiliate commissions. Here is one way I do it: I find affiliate products that are about to hit the market in a few days time, and I create a simple blog to promote that product. The blog url has to contain the product's name to get high rankings for the product name keyword in Google. So I do that and then I write a review of the product and post it on the blog. I do all it takes it get that blog ranking well for the product name keyword: backlinks, and just regular on-site optimization like keyword density. Then I rake in the sales on launch day and beyond.
