Step 1 - Find Or Create A Killer Offer
This is your first step: finding or creating a hot product to promote. If you don't want to spend time and money developing a product, you can always promote an affiliate product from Clickbank.
Step 2 - Craft A Click Inciting Subject Line
Your subject line is the key to getting high email open rates. Spend lots of time on this! Study subject lines from other marketers and create a simple swipe file of the best ones which you can refer to later on when you want to write your own subject lines.
Step 3 - Write Benefit-Laden Body Copy
Here's a formula that works, write one paragraph and include three key benefits of your offer in it! Usually one or two paragraphs is all you need to craft a killer email. Introduce the problem in the first paragraph, and pound on the benefits in the second paragraph!
Step 4 - Call Your Readers To Action
Now that you have sufficiently warmed up your readers, it's time to get them to act! Call them to action by telling them to visit your website, and visit it now! Urgency is important for creating successful promotions. Your reader might have something crop up while in the middle of reading your email and might not feel the urge to click through immediately, so tell him to do so!
