I’ve critically examined my listbuilding experiences over the years and I have come to discover that these mistakes have probably cost me up to $40,000 in lost earnings.
You must learn to avoid this or you’ll also lose money from your list
1. Not mailing often – I now aim at 3-4/week. This way, I have more opportunity to send my subscribers more value and promotions, and end up making more sales.
2. Not providing value – Direct your subscribers to valuable blog posts, freebies once in a while but don’t turn your list into a freebie crowd
3. Too much adswaps – this burns your list faster than a hurricane. Limit to at most 2 per week, and never adswap with your buyers list. I made this mistake and the adswap partner sent hundreds of mails to my buyers in less than a month.
4. Not re-investing your earnings. Set aside 20-30% of your earnings to plough back into your listbuilding campaign using paid traffic sources like soloads and banner ads. If you’re in the IM niche you can run free wsos.
5. Not promoting your own products. This is the one mistake that will separate you from the six-figure list owners. Six-figure listbuilders create and market their own products to their lists, and this makes them a lot more than from affiliate marketing alone.
