Uploading Files using FileZilla

FileZilla is a popular choice of ftp client. Here is a quick and basic guide to its use.
When you open FileZilla, The screen has four boxes to fill in before you can connect to your hosting account.

The first box asks for your Host. This is simply your domain name with ftp at the front. For example ftp.yourdomain.com

The second box asks for your username. This would have been provided to you when you set up your hosting account.

The third asks for your password. Once again, this would have been provided to you when you set up your hosting account.

Fourth box:This can be left blank.

Once you have done this, click Quickconnect.
Remote site information should then appear on the right side and your computer on the left. You can now drag files across from your computer to your host. The files must go into public_html in the remote side. As a minimum, you will need to have an index.html file (this is your home page) and an images file. The index.html is the one that visitors will see when they type in your URL, i.e. yourdomain.com. Any other pages on your site will be yourdomain.com/otherpage.html etc

Hope this helps
