Shattering 3 Common MLM Myths

If you are currently involved in MLM, or are thinking about getting involved in network marketing, then more than likely you have heard some of these MLM myths. In fact, they are common objections from people who know they want an additional income stream, but don't know whether or not MLM is right for them.

Below, I'm going to share 3 common myths, as well as what you should say to prospects who bring up any objections along these lines:

1. MLM is easy money. This is simply not true, and by telling your prospects this you are recruiting the wrong kind of people into your network marketing company. While you can make a substantial income with MLM, it is not easy and should not be portrayed as such.

2. All MLM's are just pyramid schemes. Ha! This is simply not true. While there are some that are disguised as MLM companies, there are many great network marketing opportunities. Here is a good test; if you think the product an MLM company sells is a good deal without the business opportunity attached, then you have probably found a quality MLM. Also, if you think about it, the "pyramid" structure is common in some of the world's most powerful companies. Are them scams? Of course not!

3. Only the people at the top make money. This is a lame excuse used by the lazy, "pseudo marketers" who think you should get rich while doing very little work in MLM. While it is true you can make money on a part-time basis, you do have to put in some work to sponsor new reps each month.
