There are 2 people that I totally love to hear their audio and inspiration on tape about the network marketing industry and they are the Late Jim Rohn and Bill Britt.

I have been listening to both gentlemen for the past 2 years and here is what I learned from both of them that helped me build my own network marketing business online.
Everything is a numbers game.
OK, Mr. Rohn and Mr. Britt taught me that in order to sponsor people into your business, you got to talk to as many people as possible. So if you talk to 10, you may get one saying yes.
Now, I am not building my business offline in the old traditional ways because I can now use the internet to build my team all over the world without even picking up the phone to talk to people or go to face to face meetings. That is the beauty of building a team on the web. Millions are doing it as you are reading this article.
So I figured out that to be able to have people sign up to my opportunity that I am involved in, I knew from the start that I need to have the most people see the offer in the shortest amount of time. Out of 100-300 prospects who saw the program and its online video presentation in a matter of a few days, 1-4 will sign up as a paid member. It is also possible that I would not get even 1 sign up but the key is to consistency.
Next thing is how many people are actually going to duplicate. What I learned from Jim Rohn is that some people will do 20% of the work. Others will do 60% and few will even do 100%. Which brings me to Bill Britt who has taught me that the small percentage of these people who sign up, will become leaders themselves.
They were both right on. Their advice was very accurate because I am looking at my back office for one of the MLM programs that I am in and out of 15 personally sponsored distributors, 1 is becoming a leader and is building a large team for himself. Others don't do so much and some do nothing.
You also need to know that people will and do drop out and there is nothing you can do about it.
So if you want to do well in this business, you got to do 3 things:
1. Put your offer (business opportunity) in front of as many people as you possibly can.
2. Sponsor as many people as you can.
3. As time goes by, new leaders will pop under you if you keep personally sponsoring new people all the time. If you need to sponsor 10 to get 1 new leader, then you know what to do. It is all a numbers game.
