When I was in the military we knew exactly what our strength and weakness was. We always played to our strength and attacked the enemy at their weakness. It was basic 101 warfare.

I understand that marketing is not life and death and you really don't have an "enemy" t0 speak of, but there are some lessons we can learn from this. But there is a success and failure in marketing, The stakes may not be the same, but we can play to our strengths and understand the weakness of those we market too.

Let me make this clear, I will never suggest nor teach that we do anything that is unethical. NEVER...but there are some things we can learn about buying habits and methods that work in marketing.

Know Yourself

The first one is very clear. That we should know ourselves. This is so important. For years I was a people pleaser and acted more like a chameleon than a human being. I would become whatever I had to become in order to please others and gain status in my work, family, and relationships.

When I started marketing I use to try to be like whomever I perceived to be successful. I would mimic and do the things that they would do.

What I learned is that we need to be ourselves. It wasnt until I started being myself did I start making money everyday with my coaching site dealing with getting paid for writing and my plr store

You have to know yourself.

You have to know what you can do everyday and enjoy. If it is a chore to perform certain tasks day in and day out when you own your own company, you wont do them for very long. You have to know what you can sustain and do day in and day out. What will you do everyday to make money. I will write and create products. So I teach others how to write and get paid and I have a place to sell the products I create.

Know The Enemy

Sometimes our enemy is us. When we dont know ourselves we lose. But for this post let me say that the enemy may be marketing cues we should be paying close attention too.
