There are generally two reasons why people use keywording in their blogs. The first reason is so that their blog will show up in search engine searches and secondly so that they will receive excellent AdWords when it comes to their ad revenue programs. However, while this sounds pretty straightforward and simple, there are a few things you should consider when it comes to blogging tips for proper keyword usage.

Quantity Matters & So Does Quality!

The first thing you should consider is the number of times that you use keywords in each article that you write. As a general rule of thumb you should never use the same keyword more than once for each 100 words that you write in your blogs. For instance, if you are writing a blog entry using the keywords 'cheap tickets', you should do so in a way where it reads well and only appears 4 to 5 times for every 500 words that you write.

When you overuse keywords you will make your blogs hard to read. If a person is reading your blog and every ten words contains the phrase 'cheap tickets', your blog entries will read like a middle-schooler wrote them. Additionally, your articles will appear unintelligent and stilted. Therefore, you need to take great care when it comes to using keywords.

Additionally, it should be noted that many search engines such as Google will actually lower the ranking of a website if it contains too many uses of the same word on a individual page. Many blogging tips neglect to share this truth that overuse of keywords can actually damage your blogs web-traffic dramatically.
