Step 1: Find an affiliate product(s) to promote
Finding a product is easy, just go to Clickbank & search the marketplace. Don't be afraid to promote products with competition...because typically the money is where the competition is! (note: there are other affiliate programs you can promote that are easier than Clickbank in my opinion, but since Clickbank is an easy way to get started that is one recommendation I make to newbie marketers).
Step 2: Write articles
Writing unique articles or submitting press releases is a great way to start getting traffic and selling affiliate proucts. The key is to make sure the traffic is targeted to the product you are selling.
Step 3: Email marketing
Once you start getting email opt-ins, start marketing to these people with a mixture of product promotions & helpful advice. You need to seem "real" to your prospects, and not just a pushy salesman.
