Therefore, you need to consider which networks will actually provide you with the social networking that you desire.
Tip #2: Social networking is not to be used for spam if you desire for it to be effective. You should consider how you will obtain 'friends' or 'followers' on each social network that you join. You should never begin randomly adding people in hopes of getting them to subscribe to you. Unsolicited forms of recruitment are ineffective.
Tip #3: Consider the amount of updates that you will make on each social network you are a part of. It is important to update often, but it also important to limit the amount of updates that you make. This is especially true with real-time social media like Twitter. Therefore, you need to come up with a list of rules for posting as part of your social traffic strategy. Otherwise, you will lose followers and friends due to an overuse of your social networking.
