3 Tips For Profiting With Your Own Blog

If you're a newbie to the online marketing world, you may have heard about blogging and how it can make you money quickly in a short period of time. This is a misconception. If blogging was that easy, everyone would be doing it, and it would be right up there along with Ebay and Amazon as the quickest ways to make money online.
Hopefully you didn't fall into the trap of buying someone's blog course, and are expecting to make $5,000 within the next 30 days. Books and courses like these... you have to stay away from. I even saw someone selling their book that stated they could make $30,000 within the next 30 days.
Okay... I'm not even going to land on this topic right now. Just be cautious about buying new books from people who make outlandish claims like this. If you want to know how to make money blogging, I can condense the process for you right here in today's short lesson. Here's the first tip for making money with blogging:
1) Find a niche
Don't enter into the "make money online" niche or the "internet marketing" niche because obviously you're not qualified to make money within these niches. How are you going to sell a book about making money online if you've never made 1 red cent? And how are you going to sell a book about internet marketing when you're struggling to make money with an easy blog?
Instead, find a small niche, and surround your blog around this niche. Hopefully it doesn't have alot of competition, because if it doesn't, you can easily enter into the niche and start making money with it in a short period of time. So finding a non-competitive niche is the first step. Here's the next one:
2) Start off easy
Since you're a newbie, I'm going to assume that you know nothing about Wordpress and FTP (file transfer protocol), and how to change permissions on folders on your web host. To avoid all of this, create a free blog at Blogger.com. You can customize it the way that you want it to be, and it's seamless when it comes to integrating affiliate products, Google Adsense, and Amazon's affiliate program.
Here's the last tips for having success with blogging:
3) Submit to blog directories
People search the blog directories everyday searching for new blogs to subscribe. And when someone types in your niche and your blog pops up, guess what? They're going to visit your blog and will more than likely subscribe to it if they think that it's worth reading everyday.
Simply go to Google and type in "blog directories", and a ton of blog directories will show up. Some websites even have long lists of blog directories that you can submit to, so you will want to check those directories out also.
Blogging isn't tough. Just keep posting everyday and follow a daily regimen for marketing and getting traffic back to your blog. Within a few short weeks, you'll begin to see good results from your efforts.
