Your AdWords Ad is limited to 130 characters in size, 25 character Headline, 35 character URL line and 2 x 35 description lines. You are not flushed with space when trying to promote your products and service; it is very important to maximize the space as efficiently as you can.

How can you separate your AdWords Ad from your competitors? Let's break the essential parts down:

1. Headline

This part should contain the key phrase or word that was searched for. The keyword will appear in bold text, drawing attention to it and signifying its importance. Remaining character space can be used to add encouraging words like Made Easy, Discounted or Cheap.

2. Description Line 1

This is the part where you post the most important feature of the product or service you are promoting. This should get people interested with your product. Use catchy phrases like "Easy to Use", "Power Business Software" or "Learn How To".

3. Description Line 2

This is the where you put whatever benefits you are offering. This should explain what benefit your visitors are going to get. You need to catch their attention; give them an offer that they can't resist. Add phrases like "Low Prices, Free Delivery", "and Mortgage Calculator! Try now" or "Free No Obligation Quote".

4. URL

Instead of just displaying your URL as yoururl.com, you can make it pop off your page more by capitalizing each first letter and add the keyword - example, YourURL.com/tips. This will give your URL more presence on your page. But do not panic and rename everything, Google allows you to use a destination URL and a display URL.
