Guest blogging is not a new thing per se, but it is definitely growing in popularity as a way to build credible backlinks on an authority platform. Niche blogs with respectable traffic and page ranks are considered authority sources by search engines, which means that they are valuable places to establish some backlinks.

But remember that bloggers are smart. They are in the Internet marketing game, just like you are, and no one wants to just give away space on their site for your backlinks just out of the goodness of their heart. In exchange, you will have to provide some content. Hence, guest posting comes into the picture.

Writing a guest post is not any different from writing a regular piece for your own blog or site, so we won't discuss the particulars of the content or how to generate it here. For review, look inside High Traffic Academy.

What is important for this High Traffic Academy lesson is how to leverage your content into more backlinks and exposure by using a virtual assistant and spun content.

To do this, you will first need to hire a virtual assistant (VA). In case you are not familiar, a virtual assistant fills much of the same clerical and administrative roles as a conventional office assistant, but typically this is done remotely and on a contract basis, rather than hiring an employee. The advantage to you is that you get some inexpensive help with some of the more menial tasks that take up your time, so instead you can focus on marketing, generating content, managing your site and hopefully making sales.

Once you have a VA in place, you can use him or her to increase the volume with which you distribute your content. This is a simple process which will take some training and coordination, but after a few repetitions it runs very smoothly and quickly:

Find guest blog opportunities.Like you, many bloggers don't have the time to constantly be generating 100% of their own content, so there is always a need for guest bloggers. You may stumble across calls for submissions on some blogs you frequent, but you can also search for them on sites like MyBlogGuest.

Generate a list of several blogs in and related to your niche to submit to. Once trained, this is something your VA can do for you.

Write a guest blog post.Once your VA is trained and this system is running smoothly, this is the only step you really have to do yourself. For best results, keep the post short (about 400 words), know and follow the blog's submission guidelines and don't forget to link to your site. Be sure to include spintax for step 4.

Submit the post.

Better yet, send it to the VA and have him or her submit it for you. Remember, the goal here is to increase volume while decreasing the cost of your time.

Spin the content, review and submit elsewhere.Again, this is something the VA will do for you once you have this system established. Just make sure that he or she is reviewing the spun post before submitting it elsewhere to ensure that it looks unique and reads well. A blog owner would not appreciate it if a guest blogger's content got them a duplicate content penalty from Panda, and any savvy owner will use Copyscape before publishing your post.

With this simple, semi-automated strategy, you can dramatically leverage your guest blog content into a large portfolio of backlinks, all of which will be highly regarded by search engines and readers alike. The potential traffic boost is very large, and the overall time cost quite low.
