You may be wondering what "K. I. S. S." is. This simply stands for Keeping It Simple Stupid. You may have heard this before because it is used often in the sales environment and in many other environments. The definition of KISS is to not over complicate things and keep your strategies simple. So many times new Internet marketers over think things and over analyze them without taking proper action to work the simple plan put in front of them.

Internet Marketing doesn't have to be Difficult
About 90% of the Internet Marketing strategies that actually work are incredibly simple. The problem is many of them require you to put in work. New Internet marketers believe all the hype out there and when they see headlines saying they can make $15,000 and one month, on autopilot, without any work, they buy into this garbage. If you start with an attitude of understanding you're going to need to put in the work, you can use many simple strategies to make money fast.
Simple = Success
Some of my favorite strategies are very simple to implement. For example, guest blogging is as simple as contacting a blog owner, writing a guest post for them and including an author bio box linking to your website or blog. That's a three-step plan. It doesn't get much simpler than that.
However, when I first started I would make this much more difficult by analyzing all the different blog owners I could possibly contact, instead of just choosing one and moving forward with my plan. By keeping this simple or any other strategy for Internet Marketing simple, you can move through your plan faster and see results sooner.
Making it more Difficult won't Help you
Often we make strategies more difficult by making excuses and analyzing them in our own heads. This is usually just a way of creating busy work and delaying the actual tasks at hand. We all do it to an extent; however, those of us making money online have gotten to the point where we can control this bad habit enough to get work done.
You don't need to make things more difficult than they already are. Most Internet Marketing strategies that actually work are very simple. Let them be simple. Put together a step-by-step, quick and simple plan that you can repeat over and over, to make money. This works best because once you complete the plan once and see the traffic start coming in, along with sales, you'll be more likely to repeat the process and continue making money.
