One of the best programs that I have ever seen in my 10 years online is called the Empower Network. If you really look into their products and how you get paid 100% commissions, it is one of the best network marketing/affiliate programs ever to be found online.
For those who are in it already, they learn that all it takes to recruit members successfully is to send people to an opt in page that Empower Network has provided its affiliates with, promote it, and then follow up with prospects to get people to join and become members.
I have tried this and in the past 6 months I got like 1000 or so opt ins to my list and around 3-4 people joined under me in Empower Network. That did not work too well for me.
Then I tried to send people to a review page where they can check out the Empower Network movie without joining my list for follow up. That did not work too well either.
