When you just start out or are in this industry for a while, you are happy when a buyer opens up their credit card and buys what ever you are promoting. The problem with that is that you get paid once and that's it.
If you are thinking short term then this is OK. But if you want to have true success for years to come and want to increase your income online with affiliate programs, then you need to work with the right ones that can pay you both residual income and an income from the efforts of others.
If you really think about it long term, you just have to generate a few sales and then the people that you got in as customers and affiliates, will grow their own team and you can have 100's of people put money into your pocket for a long time. The only way to do that online is to either have your own product or join some sort of an online network marketing deal.
