Using keywords as anchor text.. a No-No practice in today's SEO environment?

Are you afraid of using keywords as anchor text? You don't know if you should or shouldn't play by Google's unwritten rules? This article is for you...

But before we get to that, I recommend reading the report below and learn how an entrepreneur like you and me built a $200 a day website and sold it several months later for $60,000 (it may open your eyes to possibilities you didn't even know existed):

The Keyword Anchor Text - Good or Bad

Last year, the Google team has introduced a new spam control algorithm generically called "Penguin". The Google team felt the need to cut from their results websites that "over-optimized". Taking into account the fact that Google is a company that prides itself on delivering better results for its searchers, it demands the same thing from the websites they refer to in their search engine.

It used to be that you could rank in their search engine for "chicken recipes" if you had loads of sites linking back to your site with the anchor text "chicken recipes". Webmasters understood the opportunity and took advantage of that getting thousands and millions of low quality links with the anchor text they wanted to rank for.. and they did, so Google was forced to take action

Take into account also the fact that Google does not like you or your website. It does not want to send traffic to your site. It does not want you to do any activity that may result in you manipulating their system into giving you traffic. They hate the fact that parts of their algorithm have been understood by people and used for their benefit. This is the search engine environment you're getting into..

Their advice is... don't try to emulate a natural linking profile, have one. Which means, don't try to manipulate what anchor text your backlinks have and don't force your way into people giving you links (which would be ok for a company with deep pockets which is present all over the web and offline that gets natural attention from bloggers and news sites).

My advice? Try not to overdo it. If a page on your site receives 100 backlinks, try to have 2-5 with the exact keyword anchor text and no more than 20-30 backlinks with anchor text that contain keywords. If those backlinks come from reputable sites, preferably in your niche and pass page rank, you should see good results.

Today, less is more when it comes to SEO...

Anyway, you wouldn't want to base your business on Google traffic alone, which is why I recommend you to read...

The Final Missing Piece

Anything you do, or will decide to do is successful or not depending on whether you manage to get traffic to your website. It’s a challenge, but not one that you would have to face alone. I would have given an arm and a leg when I first started out for some real, actionable content from someone who’s been there, done that, so I decided I’m going to be that kind of person that lends YOU a helping hand. We all need to start somewhere.

For a limited time, I have a free report for WarriorForum members. A real case study of $200 a day website. This is not something talked about in the open forums. Do you want to learn the secret of fast results and massive traffic? Click here to get started right away. Don’t wait too long though. I reserve the right to take down the offer at any time, so if you're clicking the link and find an empty page, I'm sorry but you may be too late…
