Using Direct Response Marketing In Your Internet Business

When it comes to marketing your internet business, you should know that there's a right way to go about things, and a wrong way to go about things. One of the greatest flaws that I see with newbies is that they tend to rely on brand marketing to promote their business online.

This is a big no-no. You should always be focusing on direct response marketing to promote your products and services. Direct response marketing relies on the function of getting results now... instead of waiting and expecting to get "exposure" for your product. The more you operate on the principle of "exposure", the more you will find yourself wasting lots of money in the process.

Don't let brand advertising take you for a ride. It's there for the big million dollar companies hoping to build a brand and hoping to build some sort of Twitter and Facebook presence, but if you looked down into the core of their business... you will see that they are losing alot of money in the process, and are not earning the profits needed to stay in business for the long haul.

This is part of the same reason why major corporations and businesses had to close up shop when the economy hit. Some of my favorite stores that I liked to buy from were instantly gone. That's when I realized that if they were marketing aggressively to their customers, they probably would have a reliable backend income that could have possibly kept them in business.

Direct response marketing is the only kind of marketing that I am interested in. It's simple, fast, and very easy to do online. With direct response marketing, if your ad doesn't work right away, you should make maybe 1 or 2 changes to it, and if it still doesn't work... then you should abandon the niche.

With brand advertising, you don't know how well your ad is doing for you. It's like running an ad with no intent. People won't remember your ad with one or two words at the top, and an image on the center of the ad, and nothing underneath. People don't "instantly get it" when you present ads like this.

This is a great reason why you should stick with direct response advertising. You can keep people's attention with a benefit oriented headline, you can get them to keep reading your ad with solid ad copy, and keep them interested by telling a story. All of these things are things that you can do with a direct response ad, as opposed to a brand advertising ad.

Do things such as generating a lead, and emailing them every so often is a great way to boost your sales - especially if you've generated these leads for free. If you're just getting customers for the first time, you should put them into your backend marketing funnel, and get them to buy more products from you down the line.

This is what direct response marketing is all about. Testing and tracking things, seeing fast results, making sure your advertising dollars are working for you. If your dollars aren't working for you, switch to a different strategy.

Take these direct response marketing tips and use them to boost your sales and profits starting right away.

Good luck with marketing your products online simply and easily.
