When it comes to marketing online, being "different" doesn't hurt. There are so many people who are copycats and who follow the same erroneous marketing techniques that keep them unprofitable. But if you want to avoid this fate, and earn more money than you're making now, then you will have to try new things.

Many people hate to get out of their comfort zone and do something else. They're so used to doing the same bad marketing strategies over and over again, that it's kind of become a "habit" to them. And as we all know, bad habits are hard to break. But this kind of bad habit is something that can be easily broken, because when you find a good strategy that works for you - you tend to focus more on the good strategies, and focus less on the bad ones.

In today's lesson, I want to share with you a few bad habits that alot of online business owners have that are causing them to not make a profit on the products that they are selling. If you're reading this and you have some of the same bad habits, you will want to break them starting immediately. Here's the first bad habit to break:

1) The "fast cash" habit

Thinking that you will earn the money quickly online is senseless. Now there are some online business owners who have had fast success immediately after launching their business, and in the same respect... there are some online business owners who had to wait 1 to 2 years until they finally had business success.

Don't believe the hype. Follow a good marketing strategy that will help you to generate leads, subscribers, and customers - and that will allow you to stay in business for the long haul. There are many strategies to choose from, so choose wisely. Here's another bad habit that you shouldn't keep online:

2) Not tracking and testing

In some businesses, it's better to just lead people to your sales letter page, and in some online businesses, it's best to lead people to your squeeze page. It all depends on the niche. Tracking and testing is something that is essential to the life of your business. If your current campaigns aren't producing the money that you hoped you'd be making, then it's time for a change.

There's nothing wrong with changing things in your business. One simple change can turn a $2,000 a month business into a $4,000 a month business. You never know until you try, and when you try... you should be putting your best efforts into making sure that your campaign will succeed for you.

It doesn't matter what income level you want to attain, testing and tracking will help you to see what's working and what's not working, and how you can boost your sales all by making a small little change.

These 2 tips for breaking bad "internet marketing habits" are things that you can't avoid. Don't make the mistake of not testing or tracking - or trying to make fast cash online. Stick with a proven model, and you will be good to go.

Good luck with marketing your business online.
