The resell rights business is a great business to be in. You get to own the product, you get access to the customer, you don't have to create any products, and you can offer similar backend products to your customer. All of these reasons are some of the reasons why selling these kinds of products are a great business to be in.

But some new beginners are confused as to what the difference is between certain resell rights product. So in this article, we will take a look at the difference between certain resell rights and how they differ in terms of what you can do for them. Let's begin with the first kind of resell rights available: Standard Resell Rights

1) Standard license

With a standard license, you only get to sell it and deliver it to your customer - and this alone is good enough for some people. You get to own 100% of the product and all of the profits go to you and not a middle. While this has it's benefits, you are not able to reprint or duplicate the product when it comes to physically making the product.

The only way you would be able to physically replicate and reprint the product is if you have the "reprint license" to do so - which is what we will discuss next:

2) Reprint license

When you get the reprint license, you get to reprint and duplicate it and physically ship it off to your customers. So it's as if you own the product. And with some licensors, they will offer to ship the product out to you and still ship it out to your customers - but with a fee of course.

In this kind of arrangement, you will most likely keep 80% of the profits while 20% of it goes to the licensor for shipping it out to your customers. Aside from the replication aspect, reprint rights has some of the same benefits as the resell license.

3) The master license

With the master license, you have the ability to offer the reprint or resale license to other people. This usually cost the most money, but is well worth it in terms of how much you can sell the rights for. I've seen master rights sell for as much as $10,000 - and I've seen licensors offer reprint and resale rights for $2,000 and above.

The only thing that you can do with this kind of license is put your name on the product. Other than that, you own full rights with the product and can do whatever you want with it. There's another kind of rights where you can put your own name on it, and those rights are called "private label rights".

4) Private label license (PLR)

With private label rights, you can put your name on the product. You usually see ebooks being sold with the private label rights to them online rather than physical products - but the PLR to physical products do exist too. This is consider the "grand daddy" of all resell rights simply because of this one feature.

You can put your name on it, you can offer masters to it, or you can do what whatever you want with it. It's totally up to you - it's your product now.

With all of these kinds of rights, you may be wondering which one is best for you. It's up to you to decide and it all depends on your goals in your business. Good luck with marketing your resell rights products.
