I love selling ebooks online, do you? If not, then you’re probably just not marketing your ebook and website in the right way. You see ebooks are different from traditional tangible products. I’m sure you can see the obvious difference just by the name, but I’m talking about marketing strategy here.

I think it’s easier to sell a tangible product online than it is to sell an ebook online. Why don’t I sell tangible products online (yet)? Well, I enjoy the perks of selling ebooks. They’re instantly downloadable, I have unlimited inventory, I earn money on autopilot (mostly while I sleep), I don’t have to hire any employees, and I don’t have to go down to the post office and ship anything off. Maybe some of your business beliefs coincides with my business model also.

But to make ebooks sell, you have to promote them… hard. But the good thing about ebooks is that you get to have a major profit margin. With tangible products, you may sell a $30 product and profit only $7 from the transaction. With an ebook, you can sell a $30 product and keep all of the sale. There’s no shipping fee at all.

Now if you want to have success with ebooks, you will need a plan. The first thing that you will want to do is to find a hot, starving niche. You’re searching for a market that is looking for a solution to their problem, or something that will help them to achieve a goal. Once you’ve found this niche and confirmed that it could be profitable (without alot of competition)… it’s time to move forward with your product.

You want to create a product that fits the whims and wants of the marketplace. And because you’re selling a digital product, this is easier than ever - and faster than ever. You can go and create an ebook over the weekend that has the solution to the problems and goals that your prospects want to achieve.

Creating the book isn’t hard. Start off with a good title, then outline the chapters of your book. You can decide that the book will have 10 chapters, and within each chapter you will have 10 pages. This is an easy 100+ page ebook already down for you. Now all you have to do is fill in the blanks and the product will be ready for you.

If you want to see alot money with your ebook, consider pricing it around the $30 to $50 range. But you will need a pretty good sales letter to help you sell at this price. You can hire a copywriter, or you can write the sales copy yourself. There’s nothing wrong with that. You can get something called a “swipe file” and start writing sales letters like an expert.

Selling ebooks online are an excellent way to make money and I’m confident that you can make it happen in your business. Be sure to drive lots of traffic to your site so that you can start getting sales around the clock. To test whether or not your campaign can be a success, go to Google Adwords or Bing Ads and start running some PPC tests for your site.

Test if the email form works; test to see if you can get sales without a “squeeze page”; and test if your sales letter is good. The results will let you know if this is a niche that you should stay in, or whether or not you should exit out the niche.

Good luck with selling ebooks in your business today.
