I made a book using the AI "poe" app for iPhone, posted to KDP in an hour

You wouldn't believe me but the easiest thing I ever did was asking artificial intelligence all about ancient texts and wisdom and studying it and then I had it with ****ed up and do a book for business related purposes.

The past this would've taken weeks.

Do you ever used Amazon KDP are you doing this to create books?

      19 pages aren't that many.

There's a story in Reuters just today that talks about a guy doing a 119 page book in less than one day.

The article says that as of mid-February there were over 200 books listed on Amazon that showed they were authored or co-authored by AI. And as they point out...that's just the books that actually admitted it.

The national director of the Writers Guild said a lot of authors will be out of work.

It's getting crazy out there Claude

Just google the headline for today's story in Reuters: ChatGPT launches boom in AI-written e-books on Amazon

I've seen lots of books on Amazon written by AI. They don't sell. And the reviews (there aren't many) are terrible.

This may change with better AI. No idea.

One thing I think we can be sure of is that AI cannot replicate a personal story...something we lived through...something we learned the hard way...

I've always thought stories (and it's been proven) will always outsell most types of advertising. Nothing beats a good personal story.

Maybe with AI we will learn to become more personal with our advertising? Just a happy thought for today.

I believe you are right here.

But how may sound judgement prevail when we all readin' junk an' we don't know it?

(The ghost in the machine you hear screamin' here is Alex Cohen, who decided I was junk way back!)

Our discriminatory credentials need regulah sharpenin' so we can make informed choices amidst the eternally self-vomitin' blancmange of existence.

So why we bluntin' our own instrooments?

If'n you cain't spot a mistake, you will presoom there ain't one.

It's this kinda slackbrainostuffs sullies all potential.

Who would wanna spend their days as an editah of the insane?

The Ai is just fine, the problem is the understanding (or lack thereof) of the people using it.

It is not supposed to "replicate". It is designed to "extend". You absolutely can have Ai tell YOUR personal story...better than you can.

People just haven't learned to use Ai, because they think the Ai is doing something. It doesn't "learn" as it has no intelligence. It is simply partnering with the flow state of the user. If they are not clear on their story, or don't know how to tell it well, neither with the Ai (nor will a pen, nor will MS Word) if that makes sense.

What I'm wondering is...you say you have students making a minimum of 10,000,000.00 (that's 10 million) dollars a month.

            I say nonsense. I don't believe it.

I don't think the issue is if AI wrote something, or how long it is...

the question is...is it interesting and informative.

The bottom line is are you selling any, and what are the reviews?
