I just don't get it with creating content with AI

Hi everyone,

I am an internet marketeer with expertise in SEO. For years, we have lived by the saying that "Content is King" and without that even the best SEO efforts cannot bring you rankings. Now with this boom in AI since last year and almost every other guy talking about integrating AI for content I am worried what future holds for me since I just don't get it. Should I be worried that I might be left behind if I am not using AI for content creation? Almost all the content that I have created through ChatGPT or any other tool just doesn't make sense to me so how can I expect it to be helpful for others? Am I the only one that thinks this way? If yes, then how should I gear myself up to creating better content and not being left behind.

Thank you

  • What is there to get, A.I. saves time and it does other
    things besides creating content.

I am retired from federal government, and during my
career I completed several writing courses because
we were expected to write a certain way.

ChatGPT, and the other A.I. that I use, produces
IMMACULATE content, so I don't understand what
people are griping about. I really don't.

Instead of complaining about the output, why don't
you learn how to refine it, because it produces what
    it is prompted to do.

I am currently working on a project that requires
product descriptions. I can upload an IMAGE and
ChatGPT writes a whole description just from that.

    In 30 seconds.

If you want to spend your time writing the old
fashioned way, be my guest. But if I were you
I would get with the program.

    • Absolutely, I'm getting some amazing content and graphics. It's all about the quality of the prompts its given. I'm writing a product, 3 actually, about how and where to use it
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Your the one entering the prompts for AI to generate the content. . If you don't understand the output. Play around and work on your inputs that you are trying to use until you get output you understand.

    • I think and have experienced that even the best prompt can't provide you a unique content or idea. AI tools are great just for creating structure of content, the idea and content itself should be unique.

  • Just with chatgpt you think you will get a nice article! How lame!

    Use
    1. trends api + news api + search api + ...
    2. build scraper to read niche high quality blogs
    3. reorganize them in special data format with 1st ai
    4. autotune 2nd ai to find organized unique content from them
    5. use 3rd ai (chatgpt) to write a blog post ( auto-tune to write like humans)
    6. just proof read once before they are uploaded. Maybe add some kick to it.

You will get yourself a thinking and writing machine. Good luck.

*what is autotune? - repurposing the ai to follow in one correct direction instead of many

  • I don't see where the Original poster is complaining. Probably scared is more like it ;>)

To the OP Monetize is pretty much spot on with her post. You have to learn to embrace AI or get left behind. What writing programs have you used that is confusing you? Do you know how to use prompts properly?

If you do not understand some of this, you may want to take a free course on AI at EdX or Coursea. They teach a lot about AI and understanding how to use it. You have to embrace and invest in yourself at this point. Or you will become obsolete in the future.

  • Is content "King"?

    Or merely fillahstuffs?

Back in the day, you had movies, books, theater, myoosic, *smoochielistic BFs*, an' all kindsa yummystuffs you could lay yr actschwl hands on.

  • I may take some arrows as my covered wagon rambles through the forum...

    but, these are my thoughts.

I don't think SEO matters that much anymore.

There are over 1 billion websites out there.

Google, as a default shows the first 10 results.

99.99% of all the blog posts out there are useless and do nothing for the creator.

I think, and just my thinking today, newsletters are where it's at.

Build a list and you won't have to worry about SEO or Google rankings.

I do think Google Business Profiles are worth working on...because I think local is important.

    Anyway, just my thoughts.

I should get to the west coast along the Oregon Trail here in a few months

    • I agree with you about SEO not mattering so much and
the saturation of useless content, but Google displays
results from other places besides just websites/blogs.

It shows results from its YouTube site, and sometimes
it displays articles, pages and posts from social media.

So whenever I ask ChatGPT to write for me, I instruct it
to stuff the content with relevant keywords, just in case.

P.S. Don't travel through the Oregon Trail in winter, I
can't be bothered with trying to rescue you.

  • Don't worry too much. AI can aid content creation, but it's not a replacement for your expertise. Use AI as a tool to enhance your work while maintaining the human touch and creativity that adds value.
  • Not to worry too much about AI. In fact, AI can aid and assist you in your daily workflow and even your daily life. I find that AI is there to help us and it will be an advantage if we know how to use AI for our work and life. Hence, we should see AI as a tool that will continue to help us humans as we evolve in this world.
  • Using AI to create content is simply wonderful. Saving time for writing text, searching for pictures. But the idea will be yours, and if it is unique, then you shouldn't worry at all.

  • No, I work as an AI engineer and Generative AI can assist you but will not replace you. Always keep in mind: The companies that train these models like Gemini Meta and ChatGPT are also the ones that would suffer from AI generated articles in their search results. They can easily detect AI generated content (link removed by moderator per forum rules)
  • AI won't replace expertise, it will definitely amplify it. Sure, GPT content can feel generic if you just hit "generate" without thought. But the real power lies in how you use it. Think of AI as a tool in your belt. It can and will speed up tasks like generating ideas, refining drafts, or creating variations of content.

The key is learning how to guide it with strong prompts, edit the output, and infuse your unique perspective. It's, without a doubt, faster and more efficient.
Embrace it, learn, adapt, and make it work for you.

  • I love the AI chatgpt. And also the copilot and the meta.

Creating fabulous images with my ideas is so much fun.
  • i think if u are expecting for chat gpt to write a collective piece and just copy/paste it, it wont work, i think its just good for conent ideas, then we write after that, it just helps us get started chat gpt is still a baby lol

you have to learn more about the propmpts and answer the right questions for eg is you ask them to rank and answer the question of the keyword it is a computer speak in their own language lol
