For anyone who is playing around with Video, OpenAI released Sora to the general public on Monday, December 9, 2024. CNBC did a feature about it today in the morning program. It's quite impressive however it has draws backs according to a review on TechCrunch. Just give it a try, you might be able to incorporate it into your marketing. You can go to Sora and see the videos or get started using the program. - https://sora.com/

One thing CNBC mentioned is the potential to easily create ads. Just my two cents. Seeing the features and knowing it will improve. It might explain the Hollywood strike a few months ago.

If you need a more basic understanding of what the program is, here is a brief description from Gemini. ( No information on free Chatgpt)

" OpenAI Sora is a groundbreaking AI video generation tool that allows users to create videos from text prompts.

1 It can generate videos in a variety of styles, from realistic to abstract, and can even animate still images or remix existing videos." there's more information, that should give a basic idea. " Gemini did mention a caution about Deepfakes!

Hope this helps any marketers or designers out there. One final note there are several YouTube review videos about Sora currently. If you want to dig for more information.

Added -One quick note the signup may not be available at this time

"Sora account creation is temporarily unavailable
We're currently experiencing heavy traffic and have temporarily disabled Sora account creation. If you've never logged into Sora before, please check back again soon."

Sora was available for me to register a little while ago
and I had a lengthy demonstration yesterday.

The videos are stunning but they are just snippets so
one would need to produce a number of them and
piece them together to create a substantial video.

Open A.I. dropped the ball on this because there are
several other A.I. video generators that output longer
videos and they aren't nearly the cost of Sora.

    Business professionals won't mind spending $200 a
month or however long the token/credits last, but a
casual video creator will probably choose the longer
    cheaper option.

Thanks for sharing this insightful update on OpenAI Sora! It's fascinating to see how AI is pushing the boundaries of video generation, especially with features like text-to-video and the ability to animate still images. While the potential for marketing applications, such as ad creation, is exciting, the mention of deepfakes definitely reminds us of the need for responsible use of such technologies.

For anyone curious about how AI tools like this can revolutionize content creation and marketing, I recently explored similar topics on my blog, TheTechEez. Feel free to check it out!

Looking forward to seeing how Sora evolves, and I appreciate you highlighting this tool for marketers and designers.
