my FB ad is running, but the reach is zero,

I have a remarketing Facebook ad running, my target audience is small, about 30 people.
Daily budget is 20 dollars.

Now the FB ad is running, but the reach is zero. Can I get some reaches by improve the bid, or daily budget , or by some other methods?

I remember about 2 years ago, some Facebook Ad gurus here talked about very very precise targeting(audience less than 20 people) of their teespring shirt business. How was that achieved?

Any words would be greatly appreciated.

Never Go super targeted unless your selling a very expensive service or product to a well groomed audience. Go broad first, build up an audience then drill down using various organic sharing and paid Ad testing. Once you've gotten those 20 or 30 ppl to raise their hands for the service or product, then make the high priced pitch. By then they'll be more comfortable with you and may even be ready to purchase the high ticket item or service.

Your campaign isn't realistic. If you are targeting only 30 people than target them directly through emails or stuff. Spending money on facebook isn't a profitable option.

And people spend $20 -$30 per day for an audience which is atleast 100k.

I agree that the method you're using is totally unrealistic. The 30 people that you are targeting may not be using facebook currently... which could explain the zero reach. I'm surprised FB would approve such a narrowly targeted audience, to begin with.

Whatever you did to get such a targeted audience... I would continue doing it until I reached an audience of least 200 and create a look-alike audience to retarget ads to. (Keep in mind this is only effective if the initial audience have proven to be interested in your product or service).

    Good Luck!

the people number is only 30 because they are custom audience , the people those who click 'add to cart' but not finish the order at my website in past 3 days. I want to give them a coupon to encourage them to finish the order.
It would be pointless if create a look-alike audience and target thousands people because majority of them didn't have 'add to cart' behavior at my website.

Thank all of you for help.

  • I think what they were referring to when they say very very precise targeting (20ppl or less) is related to social media influencer marketing. They target social media influencers with huge followers so they can easily tap those markets.

Yes, you can do this with FB ads but it's not realistic or effective. You need to build a relationship with these influencers. They won't just promote your product simply because they saw your ad. You need to engage with them, make deals, or even pay them to promote your product.

If you want to continue using FB ads, it's best if you target a big group first. Find out which ones are interested and do more targeted ads using FB messeger or email.

The others are right. The mistake here is that your target audience is too small, so target a wide audience for now until you can narrow it down to the people who are more likely to avail your goods. Also, 20 bucks for an ad is a little too much for the size of your audience, don't you think?

Always remember that what worked for someone else's business won't necessarily work for you. Get some advise from someone with a lot more experience with Facebook advertising, or hire them if you have to.

I agree with most of the posts here.

Since you are targeting a small demographic. You shouldn't use a mechanism that is intended to target a large audience.

30 people can be e-mailed directly or spoken to, to build a more authentic human experience. You will lose a lot of money if you continue that way.
