I think that reading is important. If you look at most of the ultra successful business people, one habit they share is their love of reading.

This is something I am going to start doing more diligently.

Since my business is writing -- I write. Both for clients and myself.

I also read, as Mark has already said.

"If you don't have time to read, you don't have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that."

    I do the following

READ - I read everything under the sun to recharge my batteries

PRACTICE MINDFULNESS - The best new ritual practice I've adopted. I practice the NAVY SEAL quick mindfulness drill

PRACTICE GRATITUDE - This RESETS my ego and allows me to TUNE in and be compassionate. When selling, see the world from OTHERS' eyes

PRAY - Personally, this is crucial

WORK HARD - The key is to measure hard work not just in terms of LABOR and TIME but also QUALITY and EFFICIENCY (aka INNOVATION)

At the end of the day... BE THANKFUL

The measure of entrepreneurial success is MONEY, right? It's how we keep score.

Do you get paid for knowing things? I don't.

Do you get paid for being a great person? I don't.

I think Rose's first answer was closest to it so far...she makes money by writing, so more writing.

So what's true from my experience?

    1. Focus on how to reduce the steps and time of the path to revenue

    2. Learn how to increase your operational tempo.

I don't, great person,...ok, pretty hard to get $5 on Fiverr for being a great person?

Reading a ton of motivational books won't give you wealth, it will help to keep you going, and ignoring others and give you a handful of good ideas, but for the most part it is entertaining and motivational but not much else.

Praying does the same thing, but without the entertainment part.

Working hard is good advise, but some opportunities, require more of other talents than brute force.

10x more success is not useful. You need a time-frame.

The time-frame changes what you need to do.

Small things you need to do daily to get much more success?

Some really small things add up.

Contact one prospect more each day.

Take a course in marketing in the next 3 months.

    Read a book.

Think about new products or repackaging your current products.

Ask for a review every day.

Meditate. Yeah, I know... counter-intuitive, but clears the mind and clear minds say yes to good things.

    Look for cheaper providers.

Work on a video... book... TED talk.

Some of them, I know, are not daily or not for long.

Increase conversion in your funnel at one of the conversion points by 0.01% daily. There, you have a daily for sure!

Why? If you now contact 300, contact 301. If now you contact 148, contact 149. I wrote one more... As in, one on top of what you're currently doing. Even if you were doing it the way you understood it, 1+1+1+1+1+1+1, in 3 years, you're contacting over 1000 a day. Should get you 10% extra success, doncha think?

Well, that's great, but if you asked people how many people they contacted yesterday, for the majority of them, one more would equal - - - - - wait for it - - - - - - ONE!

Notice I said the majority. I didn't say all. The reason I didn't say "all" was so you couldn't start an argument. :-)

Many reactions are simply a result of basic human nature. Seriously, who doesn't love a good row, every now and then. Keeps the juices flowing. :-)

Unfortunately, old age is making me less ornery or I wouldn't have gone with 'most.'

I miss the good ol' days! :-(

    Stop dabbing and do this:

Every evening prepare a list of 7 things to do the day after, WRITE in a Paper and then the day after do it.

If you didnt succeed to achieve these 7 goals, ask yourself why.

Of course twice a day, in the morning and in the evening before breakfast and dinner, i do Transcendental Meditation for 20 minutes.

    Judey,

First of all you need 30 / 30 /30 program, read for 30 minutes a day, listen to 30 minutes of audio 30 days in a row. Mindset is key.

Don't be afraid of failure, the quicker you fail the faster you can move forward. Keep moving forward every day.

It might sound cheesy but I try to learn every day. I try to read everyday (both books and online content)

    Hi Judey,

It is not so much what you are doing, but who you are being. All an energy thing.

Most entrepreneurs struggle because they move into mindless, frenzied actions and see terrible results.

I get my energy right, then move into simple, practical actions on a daily basis.

I wake up, do yoga, then meditation, then I check email. From there it is about creating helpful content through varying channels and befriending top bloggers by commenting genuinely on their blogs, and by promoting them.

Keep it simple, persistently, and you will do A-OK.

    Ryan

PS....Don't aim for 10X success; just do what you love doing, following your passion, tie that passion into some pressing problem suffered by folks, keep creating, keep connecting and you will steadily become more successful.

I think the #1 thing that should be done on a daily basis is reading.
I feel that reading and books are the gym for your brain.

Here is a good read on mental modes: https://www.nohatdigital.com/blog/mental-models/

As an entrepreneur there are many things that you have to learn and reading is a MUST to become a well rounded individual.

We have to regularly improve both our mind and body. Read regularly and keep updated with relevant information that will help in business and personal. Watch educational videos that strengthens your new knowledge. Exercise to freshen your body and able to keep your mind active. Fail more and fail fast, apply what you learn and don't be afraid to fail. Along the process you will learn and grow.

I think reading and learning more about your niche every single day is super important. I know that's something that has been working for me is when I feel like I hit roadblock at the end of the day, just showing up and looking for answers always works. whether it's asking questions on here or FB, diving into some product, whatever it takes to learn more, I'll do, and that has been helping me grow on a daily basis. no matter how hard, just showing up and doing it anyway is something that I do every day and it's truly helped

Record everything you do and look at what's working, what's not working and adjust. In order to be successful you have to focus on adjusting, adapting or adopting. Think of it as A3. If you can remember this and apply it you'll be surprised at how powerful it is.

The answer is much simpler than you think. Just create a good reputation and customer satisfaction. It all comes from good business practices. You can make profit and be noble at the same time. If you trick them once, they will know it the next time.
