Can I use Amazon product images?

I have running an Amazon affiliate blog and need to get Amazon associate account. But I have faced a problem that about product image. Can I use their product images to promote their products in my blog post? Is there any copyright issue?

  • SOME SAY AMAZON DOE SNOT LIKE THEIR IMAGES USED. JUST GO TO FACEBOOK AND TYPE IN WHATEVER YOU ARE LOOKING FRO IN THE FB SEARCH FIELD. IMAGES ARE HD AND ALOT BETTER THAN AMAZON IMAGES

    • That is a good way to get a DMCA takedown notice filed against you.

      Please do not use images without permission. If amazon lets people use their images, then go that route.

      I take a lot of own pictures for my website. It is very aggravating when I find a website that stole my images and reused them without permission.
  • Have you check Amazon's term of Service ? You will find the right information there. Instead of listing to some one that might be wrong.
  • You can use Amazon Product Images if you obtain them using API. You just can't download an image from Amazon and upload it directly to your site. That is against their terms of service. You can use Site Stripe to get the main product image too.

  • Use easyazon plugin. Best for amazon affiliate. You can get specific product's photo through easyazon. Not only that, Amazon cart link cookies exists 24 hours. But easyazon cart cookies exists 90 days. I am personally getting benefit of easyazon's cookies. Got Amazon approval without any kind of objection. From the beginning, I import photos via easyazon.
  • Yep, so long as they are used for the purpose of marketing the products ON Amazon, as I believe dmrson mentioned above.

  • If it's just to promote their products then I'd say yes. I do this. Many do this.
