    Hi,
Congratulations on your new online business. I would like to suggest you develop a strategy and accordingly work so that it will get a track of your business revenue.
At the very first stage, you have to mention your online business to all the relevant audience. Grab the social media and just spread your words.
This will help to become popular on the internet and so your leads get the increase.

Do you sell locally or globally? Fb ads is great start, if selling locally then SEO is an option, but obviously will take time.

I sell globally. I have a Facebook page ( for my old business ) that was 1k likes but I can't get Facebook to change the name! ( any ideas? ) I hate the idea of starting over because getting likes/interest is so hard anymore. Even when paying to have it promoted.

The first thing you should do is to plan out your marketing strategy. After that, market your product into social media platforms. Create your social profile and build your presence. Follow people who are relevant to your niche and engage with them. Social media can be a very useful tool for your online business. Goodluck on your venture!

  • 1. Do you know what sets your leggings different from the rest?

    2. Do you know the age, gender (hey, glam rocker guys and male fans wore those in the 80s!), countries / cities / towns and relevant interests of your ideal customers?

    3. Do you know which online stores they go to buy leggings?

    4. Do you know what those other online stores are doing right to successfully get a regular flow of customers?

    5. When your ideal customers aren't buying leggings, do you know where they hang out on the Web?

    6. Can you clearly and instantly communicate to your ideal customers the advantages of your leggings over the rest?

    7. Can you resonate with their age, gender, interests, culture and preferences, enough for your marketing messages to show this?

    8. Can you do a much better job at the same things those online stores are doing to successfully get a regular flow of customers?

    9. Can you mingle with your ideal customers while they're hanging out in those online places when they aren't buying leggings?

    10. Can you build your reputation across those online places as a friendly expert resource of info, advice and content related to fashion in general and leggings in particular?

If you answer yes to at least 8 out of 10 of those questions, then chances are - You most likely wouldn't have to post this ...

    • TRANSLATION: No, I did NOT answer Yes to at least 8 of those questions.
So, I'll try to get to know my ideal customers better ...
That way, I'll be able to avoid wasting time and money on social media ads among other types of marketing campaigns that aren't most likely going to generate viable results for me; Unless, of course, I come to know exactly how to grab the attention of my ideal viewers, entice and compel them to pay attention to what I'm saying, and to convince them to willingly do what I want them to; and

That, obviously, is for them to gladly exchange their money for my products; and to recommend my store to their peers; and to keep on supporting my store whenever I contact them to inform them about my latest products ...

I would suggest looking up and subscribing to a course on eCommerce success/marketing. There's 100s of courses out there. Google to find reviews - this will help you find the best course for you. Then buy it and stick to it. It will give you answers that would take you YEARS to figure out on your own. It will also give you structure and the "virtual mentoring" you need to get the basics right.

As you learn and grow, you can use your creativity to "do it your way" - ie expand on the basics and customise it for your needs.

    Lauren,

Yes, I would definitely say I agree with the several responders above recommending FB ads. You can really target the demographics down to your exact audience so that you don't needlessly waste advertising budget. Once you get the basics of that down (and don't forget to learn about FB tracking pixels, and track everything. So yeah, as someone else mentioned, taking a course would be beneficial too. Later you can explore Google and Bing PPC perhaps.
