I recently checked my domain authority on MOZ and it says I have a spam score of 5/17.
Is this bad? How did I get this in the first place?
Can I fix?

According to MOZ a 3 is Good, so a 5 might be slightly less than good.

Take a look at your backlinks and see if any seem spammy. If so, then you can disavow them via Google Search Console.

Maybe your outgoing links are pointing to some questionable sites. I don't know how MOZ "figures out" the spam score, other than what I've mentioned.

I agree. 5 can be a bit alarming. Audit your site and check for your links. Maybe you got a high number of flags on your link that is why it's considered spammy.
