I want to offer proofreading services online. Is Adwords a good option?

Hi. My target audience will be authors from USA and Canada. I am in process of making landing page. I will be offering proofread services to the authors from the USA. Do you think if I use Adwords, I can really get the good clients? I have used spyfu for keywords research and the click price is about $5.

Previously I have been working on Fiverr and Upwork. But I am not making a good income from freelance websites. I need your suggestions regarding the potential of offering my services using PPC campaign. What are chances of successful business with my own services selling website and adding Adwords campaign?

    I'd say you need to figure out a good hourly rate that allows you to meet all your financial needs first.

    Then add in enough to give yourself enough money to fund an AdWords campaign. It's not as easy as it seems. Doing AdWords right will take you at least 2-5 hours per month, and it's not a skill you can master easily.

    Our agency charges a MINIMUM of $275/month just to manage your ad spend. And our clients happily pay it because a lot of them tried to DIY AdWords and wasted a lot of money before they called us.

    If you want to take the time to properly learn how to manage an AdWords account, I could see this working. I'm just not sure that your cost per acquisition will work out inside your business model. It will require a high hourly rate for proofreading services to justify the ad spend.

    No. Go into FB groups with coaches and trainers and look there. Do not spam in those groups. Their members will be creating products and content, and need your help.

    Upwork would be a good place to try. I am not telling it's the best place for proofreaders (because it already has thousands that offer better prices) but once you start getting clients there, it's a great lace. The 20% fee is brutal though. Check it out.

    Other sites like Fiverr and Freelancer.com are also good, but they are too lousy.

    Trial and error is the name of the game when it comes to PPC advertising. Depending on how you have structured your sales funnel, from your entry level product/service to your back end offers.

    If your have enough high priced back end offers then PPC will be a viable approach.
