Training courses: Anyone have experience with Billy Gene or The Profit League?

Hey folks, I've been looking at doing an online course called Clicks Into Cutomers, by Billy Gene Is Marketing. I've also looked at local lead generation coach Jeff Samis and The Profit League TPL.

Each of these guys make it look so easy. But I'm not a social, charismatic person... so I don't know if there's a way to do FB ads and get customers (for my agency to supply leads for)... I mean I'm willing to work hard and I'm not looking to be an instant 6-figure earner. Some of the courses/coaching is SO expensive, and I just don't have piles of money to invest. I am definitely not interested in MLM, and I think affiliate marketing is too much work for the returns (maybe I'm wrong).

Looking forward to hearing your sugggestions on training and creating an online income without having to be too social myself, nor do YouTube videos, nor be all sales-y. Anybody out there been successful in a course that provided value and a starting place?

Thanks!
Alison

Alison my advice is that if you do not have the funds then stick to home as in the Forum and have a look through the WSO forum

There are lot of good coaches in there and of course not so , so be vigilant on whom you choose and get some good referrals and if they wont cough up some names to contact just move on

    here is the link

Good luck hope you find what you want

It's difficult to engage in this kind of business (or in any kind of business), if you're not sociable. However, I have come across online training courses that are just collections of modules and other training materials. However, you have to invest in good written content. -Micah

I would like to know more about The Profit League, like how much to join them, and if anyone has had any success.

    non affiliate reviews.
    Based on the sales page:

You set up a squeeze page and Adwords campaign for local businesses. That's it, that's all.

You can send me your money now, just ask for my Paypal.

  • I personally think ther is a lot of money in affiliate marketing. Yes you don't make easy money starting out, but it is possible to make money with affiliate marketing without having your face on the business.

I did speak to a gentleman in TPL. He did say he was able to leave his job in 4 months. But it took a lot of work. I did casually ask the cost to join but he brushed over it. So, I guess unless you say you want to join right then and there you are not going to get the cost.
I'm still on the fence. I wish TPL would share more information.

      Hey Biznut,

Just wondering if you had anymore information on TPL and if you ended up going through with it!

        Hi Montmac,
I have not signed up with TPL. I'm still on the fence. I currently have other businesses going so it's a little hard to jump on to something new.

I think first you need to figure out specifically what you want to do. It looks like you've ruled out MLM and are "iffy" on affiliate marketing.

Figure out what you want to do, then look for a course IMO.

Beetlegurl, I am in two of Billy Gene is Marketing programs. I am in Clicks to Customers 2.0 and Gene Pool (Monthly Coaching). Both products are fantastic. I was able to get both products at a one-time cost of $597 when Billy ran a blitz sale last month. Normally, I believe Clicks to Customer is $1500 and Gene Pool is $109 a month.

I have been in both programs in the last 4 months and have learned so damn much. The sh*t works.
I have a brother who owns an Auto Detailing Business outside of Atlanta GA who allowed me to do a Facebook Ad campaign for him to generate leads and sales to one of his services. (a $97 wash and clay service)

I built his funnel and ran an FB ad for less than 24 hours promoting his service. I was able to generate 6 leads and all booked appointments with him and he made close to $600. The ad cost me only $35. Then one of those 6 customers came back again with a second vehicle and my brother made an additional $375 in his business. So in total he made $975 from this one ad. I credit this accomplishment to following the training in "Clicks To customer" and "Gene Pool" training. I highly recommend BGIM courses.

Feel free to ask many any questions about his courses. I wish you all the best.

      Hello mslisalisa,

Thank you for your information you provided. I have some quick questions for you.

      1. Is the Billy Gene and Clicks to Customers similar to the TPL program?

      2. Are you just posting ads on FB or have you tried other outlets like Adwords?

      3. Does Billy Gene and Clicks to Customers provide training on how to obtain clients?

Thank you for your time and help.

Update: I did buy Clicks into Customers 2.0 on a blitz deal from Billy Gene Is Marketing. I also found out that Jeff Samis of the Profit League also started out with BGIM (and apparently there was some arguement that Jeff and Jessica stole some training ideas, etc. - but I don't know about that). Either way, the thing is that it seems there is a lot more "hand holding" with the Profit League, and they have more of a System (maybe... it's a no money back gamble).

To date I have not really started anything, due to lack of time and money. I had a call with TPL for consultation/interview which I found very off-putting because it was a "now or never" thing... as in spend your $US 4000 right there on that call or else be told that you have limiting beliefs and they don't want you anyway. I found their approach very disappointing, especially because you are given NO idea of pricing prior to the call so you're kind of blind-sided with the high expense.

The TPL testimonials look great, and inspiring. But after a sober second thought you need to consider that they are afterall a marketing agency themselves, so the high pressure time limit with fantastic testimonials is to be expected.

I would really appreciate knowing of anyone else interested in exploring TPL. I am in eastern Canada and I would love to create a partnership with someone to get lead generation working for me.

    Thanks!

I'd buy into the person, their generosity, and their integrity first before purchasing their product.

I am not familiar with his course or his brand; he does FB ads as my main stream verifies But see how helpful he is before asking for coin. Get a feel for his intentions. Go with heart-centered folks; if helpful for free, they will be as helpful thru premium products and services.

Not a big fan of courses like this. But I looked at their profiles, they seems to be legit. Hopefully, they can provide good lessons.
