Advice about Digital Marketing Courses

Hi Guys, I;m looking for some advice as I am researching different Digital marketing courses and wonder if anyone has heard good reviws about sertain courses that are available? I have been looking at Google squared, CIM through MMC learning, these two courses are around £2000, so are quite expensive, I will have to fund these myself as my employer will not support me. Does anyone have any advice how I can get qulified as I already work in marketing , just need to fine tune skills in Analytics, adwords, social media marketing and marketing strategy.

    Lisalotty,

Yeah that is a huge subject and where to start, where to start? I can tell you this, you do not need to spend that kind of money to learn this stuff. By it's nature, the industry is very secretive and trying to tell good information from information with key points hidden or obfuscated is like pulling teeth. For starters, I would have to say DotCom Secrets (R Brunson) is very good.

Although the book itself is also a sales pitch for a SaaS program, there is quite a bit of very valuable information inside and in my opinion, the author does not hold back. You will also find tons of very high reviews when you search it. I have no financial benefit from recommending it by the way, in case you were wonding, I just think it's a great book and the author does a pretty good job at being detailed and thorough.

There may be a million other people recommending a million other books but that is in my opinion a very good starting. Then you can branch out and start learning the specifics about analytics, PPC, SMM and email marketing.

I guess if you know where to look then you dont have to spend a fortune on these courses, it will cost me an arm and a leg!!

    Lisa,

Here is my recommendation. Before starting shopping for marketing course, start by searching things and read online, anything in Digital Marketing can be found online free.

Dreamy and other platform offer some classes, there are a lot of free certificates, you can take courses on adwords and internet marketing for free and if you decided to certify you can go for it and pay for the certificate. Search for google certificates or microsoft certificate, .etc

Lisa, I don't know if that question is directed at me. If it is, I'm halfway through the course. There's so much to learn. But once completed you are a certified, Digital Marketer.

Is the course quite technical , for example how in depth does it go in adwords and google analytics?

As I mentioned earlier, it's a beginner's course. On the other hand, if you already have some knowledge and you want something more advanced they offer other more in-depth, classes. What I'd suggest is for you to go to the site and have a look around.

Udemy can be the answer to your question. But I suggest that you look for free tutorials on the web, first. You can try watching videos on YouTube and reading articles accessible online that can help you understand basic digital marketing. -Micah

I like following and befriending top bloggers and marketers LL. As I grow to quickly trust them and their content, no need for reviews. Their products are gold because their courses simply mirror their golden, valued content. This is how I sell courses and eBooks; readers buy into my free help - podcast, blog posts, videos - and know my course will rock, so they buy it.

Helpful free content is the best review there is. Proof's in the pudding. Endorsements can be doctored or made up, ditto for reviews.

Digital marketing is way too broad. I suggest you to start small. Focus on the most prioritized skill. There are also tons of resources you can learn online. However, choose the source wisely. I really suggest dig into SEO first.

  • Check out the WSO section in this forum for courses on internet marketing.

Warrior Special Offer means that you should usually be getting the same course here on the WF for a lot cheaper than the seller has it for elsewhere on the internet.

Make sure you pick the WSO's with the best reviews and success stories.

Udemy is a good place to get good resources based on your interest, but I can suggest condensing your interest (digital marketing) to one or two niches as a starter, so doing the dream will be realistic

otherwise, get a personal or one on one coaching

I had the same question several months ago, and was doing a similar research, asking questions on Reddit and other forums. Eventually, I just decided to focus on narrow topics I felt I needed to gain knowledge at.
Since I had some experience in digital marketing and basic-to-decent understanding of some processes, I really didn't want to spend money on learning something I already knew.
So I started with HubSpot Inbound, continued by getting certified at Google Analytics, then Adwords Fundamentals (basic), now moving on with the next Adwords + Facebook Blueprint.
My advice: make a list and go through it course by course. Digital Marketing is indeed a very broad term to pick generic classes, especially expensive ones.
