Clarification about using Amazon product description on my affiliate site

I have been told by some that I am not allowed to copy and use Amazon's product descriptions on my affiliate website.

I am referring specifically to the text below the three headings: "From the Manufacturer", "Product Description", and "Product Information", that appears down the page below the product image.

Can anyone please confirm if copying and using this text is a violation of Amazon's terms of service and if so, where I can see it on their Amazon's website because I can't seem to find it?

Thank you

No. This is not a violation of Amazon TOS. The reason it is not and never can be is because these items of information are provided by the manufacturer and not by Amazon.

Changing it could put Amazon at risk in case you misrepresented the product by being creative and wording something differently enough that it changes the meaning of the item descriptors enough where the consumer is confused or misled. Definitely use those and do not worry about it, that is what Amazon prefers you to do anyway.

    Hope that helps.
