Launched a digital product and have built a cool brand - best ways to increase traffic/conversions?

I am a freelance graphic designer by trade, and recently launched a digital product geared towards the newly engaged, called Get Wed: http://getwed.co . It is a 145-page ebook, beautifully designed and full of actionable, REAL advice (a lot of the wedding industry is pretty pictures and fluff), cool templates and pre-made Excel worksheets.

The USP of my product is how to plan your wedding like a professional when you can't afford to hire one. It's definitely geared towards budget or DIY type couples. I am selling it for $47 and offering a 3-page wedding checklist PDF (highly desirable) as my lead generator for my email list.

I have been focusing on the organic growth of my Instagram account with fun, relatable content - but, let's just say my imagery isn't the normal, fairytale and dreamy content that floods the industry. I know there are other brides or couples like me out there that

I'm trying to figure out where to focus my energies with a limited budget and a baby taking up most of my time - are there options below that YOU would focus on first if this were your product? Or something that I'm missing? Any suggestions appreciated! I really believe in my product and it's all about awareness, and then of course, conversions. Thanks!

1. Facebook Ads
2. Instagram Ads
3. Pinterest - Tailwind optimization, Promoted Pins, etc.
4. Google AdWords
5. Influencer Promo
6. Offline Marketing - Flyers, cards in wedding-related shops, etc.
7. Explore Kindle options?!

And finally, reduce my price?!

    Kerri,

Hi, that is a nice USP and it sounds like you have put a ton of time and thought into this. Have you considered getting the product onto an affiliate network so that others can be doing most of the selling for you? I understand what it's like to be a busy parent as I have six kiddos of my own. Affiliate marketing for me has worked out extremely well and takes the lion's share of the workload of marketing off of your shoulders. Just my thoughts.

    Hope that helps.

      Hey Kent!

Thanks for your kind words and your suggestions! I do have affiliate marketing set-up through SendOwl, which is delivering my item and I am currently offering a 25% affiliate rate.

I'm not sure where I should be sharing this info though... Are there networks where I could find people to market this for me? Is my affiliate rate fair?

And WOW - six kiddos! I can only imagine how busy you are! It's hard with just one right now! Any advice you have on affiliates would be awesome. THANK YOU!

A blog or any type of content marketing strategy is missing. Blog posts give you great content to promote all over social media and they help with SEO. I would add in a content marketing strategy and probably add in promotions on Twitter, too.

    1. Find someone - anyone to use the product and latch on them like your life depends on it.
    2. Document their story / experience.
    3. Create content surrounding their experience. I'd recommend YouTube, Podcasting, or both.
    4. Consistently push out these stories - ad nauseum.
    5. Determine how much a wedding planner costs - a good one.
    6. Charge a respectable percentage of what they earn in exchange for a complete VIDEO TRAINING that helps people do everything A-Z.

It's amazing how a $47 ebook can become a $497 info product. People are about to get married, their experiencing stress, euphoria, a little doubt, and a whole host of other emotions. The more content you push out that is relatable to them and can connect with their FEELINGS the better off you'll be.

From my own perspective, there doesn't seem like there's enough margin in your product / price to warrant buying any ads at all.

Maybe use ads to get those first folks to use the product for free so you can use their stories as leverage - but that's about it.

Put these stories in front of anyone connected to the wedding industry (tailors, photographers, caterers, etc.). Your helping folks plan their wedding(s) on a budget allows you to slot in promotion for their services in your super product which can lead to a mutual value exchange when a photographer goes "you have to check out this video package that will help you plan your wedding."

In short - again, don't focus on ads, get the stories and you'll e surprised where that leads you.

Hi! Wow - thanks so much for your thorough reply!

This has given me pause to rethink how I go about getting the word out - I'm definitely going to go down the route of finding some newly engaged couples to use the resource for free, in exchange for documenting their journey. Content I can then use on a blog.

Funny - I actually started down the path of a digital course first, but the recording, editing and piecing together the video component scared me. I've actually planned out a Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 for this product, and Phase 2 is the course!

I sincerely appreciated your advice here. I see the potential in this product and you have motivated me to try some new approaches! Thank you.
