How to create an Opt-In Page for an affiliate offer that already has an Opt-In Page

Ok, I'm trying to figure out how to create an opt-in page for an affiliate offer that already has them directed directly to an opt-in page. The affiliate link is trying to get them to sign up for a free webinar that sells them on the product. I want to be able to grab their contact information before they are directed to this link though. Does anyone have any samples of such a funnel that they might be willing to share with me? Or any ideas of what I can do?

Thanks!

Are you sending traffic to the affiliate offer? The one with the sign up page?

If so, then you send the traffic to your own landing page and get them to opt in there.

You can send them where you want after that. It's that simple.

    Or am I missing something?

You need to come up with a squeeze page / lead magnet that is relevant to what the webinar will promote. Then promote the webinar after they subscribe.

There are a few different options. The easiest would be to make the thank you page from the opt-in on your site direct to the offer you are promoting.

Thanks. Maybe I'll try that. I guess my concern is that they've given us all these great marketing materials to direct people to their offer so I'm worried I'll lose conversions if I direct them to my own offer and THEN direct them to the affiliate offer but I guess that's just something I'll have to figure out.

You'll definitely risk losing prospects if you force them to jump through too many hoops before reaching the offer.

Are you receiving commission on sign-ups to the webinar, or just on the end product? If it's the latter, I hope the ticket price is high enough to make it worth your while.

PUT it in the THANK YOU PAGE ( the page after they subscribe).

And give something valuable as a free gift before the webinar itself

It sounds like you want to collect emails first before sending them to the offer. This will typically work better if you have something to give away for free (ebook, guide, cheat sheet , etc) to entice them to sign up

  • You have to create your ethical bribe ( free report/ebook/video/software) to entice your prospect to give you their email address.

Your ethical bribe should be a content filled "presell page" for the webinars, and then have the affiliate link in your ethical bribe and in your email followup sequence

The problem with creating an opt-in to an opt-in is that there are too many hoops for the customer to jump through. We want it to be simple for them to purchase. Most of the times, affiliate offer pages are just opt-in pages essentially. My recommendation would be to have opt-ins on your website not related to any specific offer.

you can create an squeeze page for people on your website, then build a follow up sequence without sending to other squeeze page... its too much!

So by follow up sequence, you mean e-mail sequence?

I faced the same problem but this is how I solved it:

My affiliate had different links for 10% off, 20% off and 50% off pages.

So, what I did was, I asked people for their e-mail address, in return for 20% off. And the best thing was, people actually flooded my page.

Now, of course, the commissions were 20% less but I at least had a good email list and good traffic.

You might want to try the same thing.

    Hope that helps!

Not really anything wrong with a double opt-in.. as long as you get a piece of the pie with whatever it is they are upselling too... IF NOT.. then I would stick to a company that keeps you involved. Otherwise your just selling your hot leads to another company.. Ultimately you want to grab their details first so you can upsell them.
