Creating my plan, need advice

Ok my plan is to create a blog and join an affiliate program, this is probably the only business i can do at this point, i plan to use twitter+facebook+forum posting/quora+youtube to market the product. Deciding on a product is quite hard, i mean there aren't many people who join a random site to buy a specific product, they go straight at amazon or ebay or even aliexpress to buy what they need. It makes sense why so many blogs or stores fail. Selling something "generic" is not a good recipe. Your blog and product has to be something really special that cant be found easily, do you agree?

E.g i love games and i was thinking to sell consoles but seriously why would anyone buy a ps4 through my blog? unless of course, i offer something exceptional like a discount for e.g?, i can't think any other way to make this work but i guess many do that already? some people talk about brand relationship and trust but cmon, unless you have invest a ton, i doubt you will succeed with this, amazon and ebay offer this already.

So anyway, i want to be on a niche that i like, can you give me any advice about how to work with this?

Some questions:

1. Do you use your blog's articles on twitter and facebook or you make different content for social media?

2. Whats the best affiliate program out there?

3. Can you give me some advice about how to sell through a blog? i already know about "call to action" articles and how i should mix them, is there another way?

    1. I typically post links to all of my content on social media, in addition - also unique content (nothing huge, that's what my blog/website is for)

    2. There isn't a best. I prefer cpa offers (companies like maxbounty, peerfly, etc)

    3. Start by growing the blog, make sure you have a steady set of visitors, then worry about making money. If you try to monetize too early you risk scaring off your audience.
