How to find the best hashtags to use

When trying to promote something via Twitter, what are the best ways to find the most relevant hashtags to use or how do you go about narrowing it down?

    I dig the semantic feature.

    Just type a hashtag and the term into the search bar like:

    #blogging

    and similar to Google, similar, popular hashtags drop down for you to explore.

    Check your competition and use the same #hashtags, along with variations.

    Check out a tool called Keyhole. You can search by a hashtag that you want to research and you will see all the data on it and other relevant hashtags in real time. There is another one called Tweet Archivist. It is another tool that analyzes real time hashtags.

    You can try checking out hashtagify.me for your hashtag needs. I've been using it for a couple of months now and so far, it's giving me the results that I've been expecting. -Micah
