Regarding making youtube videos for generating traffic

Hi, I am looking forward to make youtube videos for generating traffic. Now, my voice is not that pleasant to hear. Its more like a bit deep haha. I bet people will comment stupid or rough voice. :p
So, I am wondering that after I record my voice, is there any software that will change the quality of my voice to a more pleasant one?

Download Audacity (free) and use the "Pitch" function to adjust the pitch of your voice to make it higher or lower. I do this when I want to disguise my voice.

Nobody cares about your voice, you're not a professional radio host. Just go and do it.

If the content of the video is good enough, I don't care if it's Mickey Mouse or Morgan Freeman doing the voiceover!

    iAiden,

My voice isn't all that great and I'm far from a professional video maker, but I have recorded YouTube videos for a few of my products and as long as you share good information and get right to the point, you will get views and leads, etc.

    I wish you much success!

  • Be authentic, be you. You are selling you to your audience. People will buy from you because they know, like and trust you.

Your deep voice can be your unique selling point. Like James Earl Jones.

In the world of seduction, a deep voice demonstrates high value. You are immediately perceived as an authority figure or alpha male when you speak with a deep voice.

In my opinion the voice really don't matter. Just be confident and make quality videos with detailed informative in depth knowledge of the topic and product and i am sure people will love it.

Who cares if they comment that you have a stupid voice? As someone who has been doing Youtube for nearly 3 years and has 85k subscribers, I can assure you that people are going to say much worse things than that. You have to thicken your skin if you want any appreciable level of attention on Youtube. Good luck.

In the worst case, you can always sing in opera; I've heard that many singers there got deep voices

  • Audacity is a free solution and pretty simple to use...

Alternately you may try "Adobe Audition" (Paid software).

    Hi iAiden,

Leave your voice as is. When you try to hide any aspect of your personality you fear being you; not a good quality when expressing yourself via video or audio. We pick up on that self-conscious energy

Just solve problems, be you, be comfortable with being you and build your friend network across multiple channels online. Best way to get traffic is to give value away for free.

There are a lot of audio editing programs you can find or you can do it on Fiver easily for 5 bucks, or you can do a voice over as well.

Another option would be to cut the voice completely and use subtitles and put some music on the background if the video is suitable for this approach.

Make sure the quality of the sound is good. People will watch a crappy video with good sound but won't watch a good video with crappy sound.

Don't worry about what people are going to say.. anyone that posts negative things really aren't worth listening too...

Just focus on what you are talking about.. getting your message across.

After the first video is posted.. you can improve with the second... then the third etc etc..

By the 14th video.. you will be a MASTER!!

I disagree completely. Any mindless drone can post "That's great" or "Awesome video," etc.

Negative feedback is how you improve.

      Example:

I have satellite TV. Last week they changed the format of the guide. It was horrible!

The company's FB page received hundreds of "negative" comments in a matter of hours. The next day they had already changed some aspects to accommodate what people were finding problematic.

I guess they shouldn't have listened?

  • There is an audience that will relate to what you have to offer, how you offer it and how you sound.

Don't try to be like others. Your videos will get buried with everyone else that is trying to be perfect.

using Audacity to change your voice is a terrible idea!

Making your voice sound artificial, and ****ed about with in a program is the easiest way to sound inauthentic and really really weird.

It's MUCH better to use your natural tone and intonation. You can just spend the amount of time you would messing about with software and editing on rehearsing your lines and re-reading and changing your emotional resonance until you get it right. With practice it will come natural and is a much better option than going the software route.

I use Audacity all the time to change my the pitch of my voice to use on YT channels I don't want people to know it's me. Obviously, you have never actually tried it as it sounds perfectly normal and I'm speaking from actual experience, not theory. If changing the pitch made my voice sound artificial in any way, I simply wouldn't do it.

If you remember the presets, it only takes a few seconds to change the pitch. The key is you don't need to change it much. In my case I have a fairly low voice so I just raise the pitch slightly and it gives my voice a more average pitch.

If someone has an issue with their own voice that stops them from being productive in making videos, as many people do, changing the pitch of their voice can greatly help them overcome their psychological barrier. As someone that didn't like the sound of their own voice, this really helped me when I first started as after changing the pitch I no longer felt the voice was "mine".

Also, if I'm making slideshow/Powerpoint videos, I record AND edit the voice-over in Audacity BEFORE importing the audio into the video program. Since I already have the audio open in Audacity anyway, it takes a whopping 10 seconds more to change the pitch of my voice-over.

    Hi iAiden,

If you have a distinctive voice, then use it to your advantage. It is one aspect that will make you stand out from the rest in your niche (as long as you also provide quality content and implement the basic SEO tactics/steps).

    Go for it.

Why not give it a try, you might be surprised. I knew someone who hated their voice, but when they started to record themselves they received many compliments and many thought he should be in radio/broadcasting.

There are a lot of examples when a youtuber is watched just because of their voice. So it's quite reasonable of you to think of that. If you don't appear on ur vids so in a way ur voice is ur face ) Talking about programs, Audacity is 1 of the best variants.

Personally, i've just started out, and it's tough, but you gotta stay consistend. I stutter a bit because i haven't practiced english in a long time...i just edit the video and that's that
