Thank you in advance for all of your help!

So I have decided that low payout CPA offers would be a good place for me to begin to learn the world of affiliate marketing.

The reason for my post today is that i have completely information overloaded myself. I have been watching endless youtube videos and reading articles associated with the topic and I am now just unsure how to start.

I believe that I understand the basic process.. Spying>Find proven offer>Traffic>Pre Lander>Offer> / Split test, optimize

I understand that I can collect emails and market on the back end with an autoresponder as well.

Well with all that being said I just don't know where to start. Between understanding overall theory or process and being able to learn the technical skills involved its a little overwhelming at the moment, BUT with that being said I want to learn how to do this the right way.

So right now I have been accepted into Peerfly and also I recently saw a post here about another network called Mobidea and so I have joined them.

I need to keep it simple in the beginning because there is so much to learn but I want to take action. What advice and/or training can you guys give to me.

My goal is to be able to take any proven offer in any niche and become profitable with it. I know it takes time to learn all this I just want to be headed in the right direction and not spend my time on useless information.

Thank you all so much!

Wow that sounds very similar to what I offer. With an emphasis on a slightly different angle. Message me if you want to connect and bounce ideas off of each other.

YEP.. I did the same. I opted in and purchased every fancy offer i came across.. and before long.. my e-mail address had thousands of e-mails i just didn't understand. they were offering me upsells, and downsells, and webinars, free books, and time limits...
    wow.. overwhelmed alright!

Looking back now.. I would say find 1 product you are passionate about.. and follow just THAT through as far as you can take it. When you have that up an running and earning you a residual income.. then move onto number 2!

Hit me up if you need some ideas!

Hey man I would love some ideas! Right now I'm just looking into promoting simple CPL offers.. 1-2$ payouts until I learn how to optimize them.

A much quicker path to success is thru a mentor - if you can't find a legit one or they are too expensive for your budget now.

Try masterminding with other affiliates - find facebook groups and join - abd buddy up with the smart ones.

Looking back how i started - i got the best ideas from people already doing great...

    Good luck mate

Low payout offers can be a good way to start, just be careful with email submits if you are considering these.

Spying is optional and really a step that often causes more grief than benefit.

Do you know which traffic sources you are interested in?

I do not, I've been hearing bing ads is a good place to start. Would a traffic network be better? If so, which one?

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offer for over 17 years.

Below is my basic canned response that I pretty much tell those that ask about it, as it's what has worked for me all this time.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

I have also done just as good with dating website sign-ups and pretty good with free trial + S/H offers. I also promote a very limited number of offers that are straight sales. For them, mass appeal is still the number one thing I look for and I also look for one of the following...

    1) The product is new and/or novel-unique and you can't purchase it locally or even something similar. I don't waste my time with it once something similar shows up in Walmart.

    2) The buyer can truly get what is being offered at a decent discount.

    3) Solves a house is on fire type problem.

However, I mainly promote non-PPL offers on the backend.

Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

    * CPL (cost per lead) is the same as PPL, just another name. I'm not a fan of $1-$2 offers, especially if you are referring to email / zip submits. They just don't tend to perform well and haven't run them for many many years.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Justin,
Welcome to the world of online marketing.
I feel your pain as I think most of us have experienced information overload.
My best advice is to follow a "system".
Either create a daily "to do" so you know what to focus on or follow a proven system that does a lot of the work for you
Staying focused on the right activities (money generating ones) is the key to success IMHO
