Kindle Ebook Marketing Advice?

Hi everyone,

I've just published my first book on Kindle and I was hoping I could get some advice on marketing. I'm having a free promotion next week but I feel like I should be trying to get reviews right now. Any suggestions to speed up the process?

Thank you for your time,
Shane

I would recommend joining as many Kindle Facebook groups as possible and run promotions inside of those groups in exchange for reviews.

  • What are your current strategies for promoting/marketing your book?

    Hi Shane J,

Good deal on running a free promotion.

One thing that worked for me - versus trying to get a bunch of free reviews and downloads - was doing offsite promoting through blogging, guest posting, video marketing and podcasting.

How it works: you cover topics discussed in the eBook, help folks for free via the content you create across those channels, and link into the eBook. People dig your free content, buy your eBook and review it without you even asking them. More sales, more reviews and all flows in an organic way.

This method requires patience and detachment but is so much easier over the long haul.

I'd also use the best promotional tool ever for your eBook; writing the next eBook. I've 126 eBooks on Amazon, each a helpful promotional tool for the remaining 125, especially how Amazon sets up the "Customer Who Bought This Also Bought" ads at the bottom of eBook pages, which is brilliant.

Thanks for your help, I'll have to try those strategies. And yes I agree that writing the next eBook will help because you are continually getting more experience each time as well.

Since you are new here use the search button and type in the word Kindle, you should find several in the main forum. Here is a link to one thread (end of post) that has valuable information added to it today. It maybe not be what you are expecting but their are great tips for now and in the future. https://www.warriorforum.com/main-in...l#post11338924 Start at the top and real all of it.

  • It all depends on what you are trying to do with Kindle books. Whether you are looking to build a brand with one author or trying to be a self publisher, can change how you will go about marketing your book(s). There are many conflicting ideas on how this can/should be done, but what you are looking to do with Kindle books will ultimately dictate how you will market your content.

Hi Shane. Reviews doesn't necessarily help sell your kindle books. I've enjoyed regular sales daily without any reviews.

You can research pay per click (PPC) advertising in the search function on this forum. There is a wealth of information on the Warrior Forum regarding PPC and how to implement it cost effectively.

You can also use the Amazon "Sponsored" advertisements as well to promote your kindle book.

I will also suggest that you have a paperback and audio book version of your kindle to help increase your book sales.
