Hey Warriors Family,

Im new to the forum as well as E-commerce. I looking to get insight on what is the bet way to start off. To tell a little bit about myself I have a background in Graphic Design and computer IT. I'm starting real estate investments and want to also get the e-commerce investment rolling under my belt. I wanted to start drop shipping, affiliate marketing, and email marketing. Right now I am trying to build a brand on Instagram and that is taking off rather slowly. I do not have a website made yet because I don't know the best way to approach marketing. I see that youtube a lot of guru's are using click bate to attract and sell programs that they have put together. Eventually I would like to create a product to sell through links to create passive income along with e marketing. I have done why fair share of research I just need help on steps to ACTUALLY get started. I need to know how and what to do and the rest will fall in place. What are some good ways to research a niche/product? Create a course to sell? Build a strong reliable network? Im looking to join a team or make my go to group of individuals that can work with me to help get me up and rolling. Kinda like a coaching group. Im open to take all kinds of advice and looking forward to success in the future.

In blue above: Nothing 'falls into place' easily....You don't have the most basic tool (a site or blog).

In red: You want it all - you have mentioned most methods of internet marketing
(red above) and it won't work.

Choose one thing - learn to do it and do it well. Start by reading threads in the "learn" section (black toolbar above) - in the "ecommerce" section and in this 'beginner' section. There are sections here for ads, social media, emal - almost anything you need to know.

If you try to start everything at once you will only be chasing your tail...and you'll get nowhere. Pick one thing - focus on it and learn everything you can about THAT ONE THING...until you succeed with it. Then add something else....

It seems like you have lots of ideas spinning around in your head although with no clear direction or path.

I don't think you will find a team or an individual that will work with you to get you up and rolling because if they are genuinely good at what they do, they will be too busy to coach anyone from the ground up, when they could be using that time to make more money, unless of course you have something to offer them like a JV, but that requires a solid plan.

Dedicate a specific amount of time to learning from the forum, let's say 2 weeks and take notes to develop your goals and an action plan as to how to reach them.

Now I know that may not sound sexy or exciting, but it really is the best way forward,

    Good luck !

    Don't quit your day-job.

The things you've probably heard like "anyone can do it," "no experience necessary," etc. are lies.

If you don't have at least the basics of marketing knowledge you will most likely fail.

The best thing you can do with your graphic design and computer IT background in the beginning phase is to test yourself in a real market like freelancer, upworks, fiverr and etc. Serve the world and see if you can go with them. You already have your weapons, so test them out in the right arena. Wake up and stop dreaming to hit another place where you know nothing about it. Stick with your talent and don't waste your future time!

Hi! You have a lot of ideas that you want to do. As a suggestion, just pick one! Pick one idea, then learn to do it well. Learn everything you can about it.

Blogging is a good way to start. If you have a hobby or something you know a lot about you could start writing about that. Over time, you could create your own product too. Find out what you are really interested about first.

Making money online is simple after you make about 10,000 mistakes. What most beginners need is a system to follow. I wish you the best, let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

    Hi nbarbou1,

Take Kay's advice to heart my friend: "Choose one thing - learn to do it and do it well. "

    This is step 1.

Choose 1 online business niche you:

    - feel passionate about
    - feel fits your skills nicely
    - can provide solutions through, to folks pressing problems

Wirte that business niche on a piece of paper. Listen to your heart because it always knows the right direction. Your mind is faulty and will tell you to do 4 or 10 or 30 things, like the IT and real estate and graphics and email marketing and more and more....tell it to be quiet. Sit in a silent room. Choose your 1 niche.

From there, dig deep into Warrior. Read posts. Actually take notes. Study posts. Find 2-3 Warriors who generously help through posts, click through to their blogs, and feast on their free and premium offerings too. Read their posts. Hire them to coach you. Buy their stuff.

From there, you'd buy your domain and hosting, and start an ecommerce site and Wordpress blog. Share helpful posts. Build strong bonds by promoting top folks in your niche.

This helps you lay the foundation for a successful ecommerce business.

Set a time frame for the next 2-4 years of your life. Good things take time, loving energy, practice and service.

    Enjoy the ride buddy.

Start with a simple ecommerce site where you place ads from clients and get it promoted through social channels. You can add other income options later.

First, you need to decide if you want affiliate marketing or e-commerce. Decide on one of them and focus.

Hustle and remember that time is money as well. Free traffic isnt free, you need effort to get free traffic.

Making mistakes isn't free, it cause you time, heartaches, and even the difficulty of re-learning.

There are similar concepts in both of them like SEO and other stuff, but the strategy (in details) might be different.

Why? Well, I don't know, but here's a guess. People with stuff to sell, come here, search for what they think might be keywords, and then post, even if it is very old sometimes months or years. Most have a signature link.

The only other reason I can think of is to annoy you. Possible?

The new and improved WF must be working, generating profits, cause all the new improvements seem to be a lot like the same old same old, I guess if it ain't broke, why fix it?

Now, I got to go find me a 10 year old thread to dredge up, and, you're welcome.

It was a rhetorical question. I should have lead with, "Why? Oh, why?" :-)
