New Member. Beginning my e-commerce journey.

Hi guys,
I am starting my e commerce journey after flirting with the idea for some time.
I found this website through research and i feel really good by seeing so much active members working towards the same goals.

I started with eBay a month ago and after seeing some very positive results i am excited to give it a real push.
If you guys could give me some good tips on how to compete with eBay sellers who are selling the same items as you are in a higher volume and also any other tips i should learn in this journey would be highly appreciated.

Thanks and good luck to all.

Alright, alright. alright. Good for you. Gonna try some ebay. There is ton's of money to be made there. I started a used, high end gold balls business. You have to earn your stripes but the is money to be made. Good luck!

That's a great step for a better future you have taken. E-commerce is the way to a bright future and working with eBay as a starter is surely a good idea, however, you should understand the key to ranking and selling well on eBay is good customer ratings and some SEO skills. you should make sure your buyers are satisfied 100% and always leave you a positive feedback and you will be good to go.

    Wishing you all the best!

  • Stick with a platform and learn as much as you can about it.

I think people starting in ecommerce get lost with how to start and try multiple platforms and never get off the ground.

If ebay is where you want to be than stick to it.

    Hi sangwagle,

So happy you're having some early success my friend. Good job!

My viewpoint; "competition" is "fear", meaning you are afraid another human being can somehow take money from you in an abundant Universe. You are not splitting up a pie; you live in unlimited abundance.

Study successes in your e-commerce niche. Befriend them. Help them. Work with them. Co-create. Do not compete.

Embracing and letting go the fear of competition in my niche made me more prospering than I could ever dream of. Shift from fear to love.

I'm always thinking "for" and "with" versus "against." Makes life easier and makes it incredibly easier to make money, to boost sales, to be super generous, and to grow business.

  • Agreed with sticking to one platform before diversifying your time and streams into multiple. Specific platforms have different learning curves and while it would be way too easy if the curve for one was the same for all it will never be that easy.

    Good luck.
    Scott.
