I would like to know where I start in this place. It just seems so busy.

    There are lots of ways which are really works great for digital marketing, such as:

    -Email marketing
    -Search marketing
    -Keywords
    -Links
    -Social media marketing
    -Affiliate marketing
    You can start marketing with social media and affiliate marketing which are really effective if you can done it with a right way then this marketing can be profitable. And you can do cpc which is also works good.

    Where can you start?

    Slowly, patiently and calmly read a few posts. Get a feel for the information. Read. Study. Ideas may pop up in your mind, stuff that you resonate with.

    As you read and learn a little bit, begin thinking about why you are considering internet marketing buddy. IMers who gain clarity simply follow something they feel passionate about, and everything begins to come together for them research wise because they are building something for the right reasons.

    Castor Troy gave you a few practical ideas but getting clear on your reason why will really help you dial in on a niche you would enjoy working. From there, all will feel more orderly and structured as you proceed.

  • I would pick a platform (email marketing, social media marketing, YouTube, a blog) and focus on that one platform and try to be as consistent as possible. Of course the more you post the more you can rank and more traffic you can get.

    With email marketing, you either need to run pain adds or drive you other platforms to a subscriber list. Either way you should be utilizing email marketing.

      This is a great advice - but the problem with this is that nowadays you can't focus only on a single platform. Take for example email marketing: how can you get emails if you don't focus on social media and blog?

  • You can start by using the search function in this forum. Search for "affiliate marketing". Read all the threads relating to affiliate marketing.

    Affiliate marketing is usually the most common place for a newbie to start with online marketing.

    Once you have Mastered affiliate marketing, then you can then research " internet marketing " & "product creation"

    Your question is very broad, the marketing area is very large.. online or offline the best place to start is learning how to sell (online if that's what u are looking for or offline)...

    If you understand the principles of selling and how to sell.. then it's gonna be easier to learn the rest ..Also make sure you understand how marketing is split: you can do B2B (sell to other businesses your services) or B2C (sell to consumers (e-com store, etc) and then decide which route is suitable for you.

    It also depends on your native skills and what type of person you are...maybe you are a social person and have connections, like to speak with people, etc.. so u might set up an social media agency selling your services to other businesses..u got the idea, this was just an example. It takes some thinking, introspecting and understanding some things but everything will pay off in the end..
